"My partner and I stayed at the Samuel Durfee House for two nights in the Perry Room. We absolutely loved our stay. First, the location of the inn is very conveniently located. Second, Heather and Michael are friendly and personable (plus easy to talk to). Finally, the breakfast was just what we needed, and the ability to have it on our room's private outdoor space was just what you want on a summer vacation. If we come back to Newport we would 100% stay here again."
"Excellent B&B in a charming period house. Great location within walking distance of the shops/restaurants/harbor - but away from the noise. Hosts served delicious breakfast and provided tips on things to see and do. We'll be back!"
"We loved staying at The Samual Durfee House! The Inn was immaculate and so quaint! The full breakfasts we decadent! They are homemade by the owner. My shoe broke and we were headed to a black tie event, I asked the innkeeper if she had any super glue on hand. She didn’t but, when she arrived back home from an errand, she delivered a tube to our room without taking any payment! Outstanding! We can’t wait to stay there again! "We recently stayed at the Samuel Durfee House for 3 nights and we had a wonderful experience. Heather and Michael are great innkeepers and prepared lovely breakfasts and made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommend!"
"This was our second stay at the Samuel Durfee House. On both occasions Heather and Michael were very welcoming and accommodating; don't hesitate to ask them for any recommendations for activities or dining during your stay. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious... we stayed in the Durfee room this time and the Perry room last time and we loved the balcony in the Perry room. We had read that they are known for their breakfast and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and they have different options for each day of your stay. I have already recommended this B&B to my friends and will definitely stay here again in the future."
