"What you'd expect from a stop & shop. There's a huge parking lot and other closeby businesses and services. Great produce and vegetarian selections from this location. I'm always surprised as they add new items frequently. Their fresh flower section is a little limited but always pretty good. A little more variety on products from this stop & shop or so it seems to me."

"My second favorite supermarket on Aquidneck Island, just a smidgen below Shaws. In certain respects, it's better. For example, they have one of the best produce sections around. They also have a great deli and better seafood department than any store on Aquidneck Island. There cheese section is also great as I am able to find any cheese I need for my homemade Italian sauces. Finally, the prices are surprisingly low for the rather wealthy area in which it is located."

"Wow. Hate to pile on, but shopping here is drudgery. Pretty much all of the other reviews are saying it; experience here is down hill. Yeah, it's groceries, but would it kill the management to have stock, instill some pride in employee's and be present/answer a 0hine call jow and again, or care about quality of.prepared foods? Bought 2 Roasted chickens and they were awful. Dry, over cooked, woody legs, mushy thighs, and the breast so dry it was inedible. Zero seasoning, zero flavor, zero texture, zero effort, zero quality control from management. S & S is SCREWED of Market Basket gets on the island. Fall River is laughed at as low class, etc. But that Market Basketstore and its employee's are professional, proud, in uniform and hustling like they want a promotion. And a very visible management presence on all shifts (answer your phones now and. again and you might learn something about why people.dread S &S as their only option. Never shop here again. Nobody is working hard for my $$$."

"Quality of everything was fine but I did a pick up order just now and the woman who brought it out to me was extremely rude. I asked her to put the bags on the front seat and she basically threw them in through the open window. She asked me my name and at first I couldn't hear her so when I asked her to repeat it she got testy about it and walked away. She then went to another customer's car who she clearly knew and started chatting away with her. I know we all have a bad day once in a while, I work retail so I get it. But you don't take it out on the customers. Not to mention the fact that she seemed to be in a pretty good mood while chatting with that other customer."

"The Middletown RI stop n Shop has really gone down hill. Advertised sale items aren’t in stock, the staff has an attitude that is take it or leave it! I left today without buying a single item because they didn’t have the most important part of the holiday meal, the meat advertised on sale. They did have a substitute at 5 times the sale price…..Not Acceptable! Shop Shaws or Aldi! Even Aldi is better than this Shop n Shop! See pic for the same the second day, Same as the first day (select the photo to see the entire empty cooler case)! Note no bottom to the cooler. Sadly this the state of stop n shop, empty shelves and false promises borderlines bait (sale on corned beef @ 1.99 a pound ) and switch for 8.50 a pound corned beef. There should be a law! Edit: in response to “Owner”….. You are not improving, not even trying. It’s a spiral down to a dollar store equivalent. This store in Middletown, and I’m afraid all stop n shop stores, are in real bad shape… products, presentation, customer support, product availability, reliability, and leadership are really really bad! You can’t apologize your way out of dysfunction!"
