"I hate to write this negative review, but the way I was treated was completely unacceptable. First off I want to say that Dr. Triant, his hygienist and almost all of the staff are fantastic and I could not praise them for their work more. This negative review is solely due to the front office staff/office manager. I debated giving 3 stars just because it was a single person that caused issues, however the way I was treated by her was so unacceptable I felt like I had to keep it at 1. I stopped seeing Dr. Triant over 5 years ago (moved states). Apparently a cleaning I had done was denied by insurance. They reached out to me 3 years ago about (in their own words) "not having insurance at the time" and that I had to pay out of pocket for it. Which I am happy to do, but it was not true and I did have coverage. I contacted my insurance company at the time and they said that the claim was "filled out wrong" and that they needed to resubmit it. I told the front desk and thought that was that. Just recently they call me, after 5 years of the cleaning being done demanding that I pay for the cleaning. I told them that I thought this was settled and that it was filled wrong. They said it wasn't their fault and I had to pay. They then threatened to send LAWYERS after me over $160 cleaning from 5 years ago. Overall they were extremely nasty towards me and made me feel like I was a criminal over all of this. I call my (now former) insurance company and get clarification that the claim they submitted had missing information. Thankfully the insurance person was kind enough to agree to call their office and get this resolved so they stop harassing me. I call the office back and the woman I spoke to basically didn't believe me when I told her what was going on. Then she agreed to contact the insurance company to get it taken care of. The kicker is that I was never even given an apology to assuming that I was somehow at fault for all of this, when all they needed to do was contact the insurance company and ask why the claim was denied. If at ANY point in these 5 years they did that, this problem would have been completely resolved. Instead they treated me like some thief trying to steal from them. I considered the staff almost like my family as they saw me for my whole childhood, and they turn on me over a mistake they made over just $160 from 5 years ago. I hope that this never happens to any other patient as it was unfair and I'm extremely insulted by the whole ordeal."
