"I just started work here a few months ago, I was supposed to have orientation and a tour but I never did so they just put me right to work I was told I could lock my stuff up I don't know where the lockers are I don't know where the break room is, but a lady that I work with who is not my boss not my manager talks down to me like I'm stupid from day one everything that I've done she'll show me how to do something the way she does it but then when she isn't there I get told I did a good job , I was told the uniform is black pants and if I want to wear a sweatshirt it has to be black I only own one black hoodie, when it's in the wash I only have colored ones, I work in the back room where it is freezing I'm almost never on the floor, now there's a sign up saying everyone has to wear the right uniform, which I never even received a company T-shirt and even if I did am I supposed to wear a t-shirt in the cooler because all my sweatshirts are different colors, but a girl who works on the floor wears big furry boots and I guess thats fine Most days I love this job My coworkers and my manager treat me with so much respect and help me any way they can, but some days I just want to go home This place has such a turnover rate and nobody wants to work here and now I understand why nobody should be treated like they don't matter The other day and when I voice my opinion to her and one of my managers I get told no you're too sensitive and that I just take things the wrong way, I was told I'm not going to get babied every time I come in sad, and now I think I made everything worse, If I didn't have my manager who is always so kind to me and treats me with the highest amount of respect and my co-workers who treat me like a normal person and are happy to help me out any way they can, I wouldnt have lasted past the first week nobody should have to work somewhere where they don't know if today might be a great day or I'm going to leave feeling like I don't matter and just in the way, I'm still learning how to do things of course it's not going to be perfect, and now I'm being told I'm too slow I also have extreme anxiety depression and just found out I have severe health issues on top of being a single mom I'm just trying to work to support my child I have so many things going on in my life and this is just not what I need I really understand why nobody wants to work here I wish I read all the employees reviews And the managers of the store I've never even met them so I'm sure they could care less how one person feels, I feel like if I speak up it's like boo hoo poor you find another job if I can't handle criticism"

"This store is great. In stock stuff and mostly nice staff. I take 1 star off because of the deli. There are a few exceptions, but MOST all the men that work here seem to go out of there way to be as unfriendly as possible. No hellos, no thank yous, never a smile and I leave the dept feeling angry. That needs to change. This, btw, is not a one off. Other than that, great store."

"Fresh flowers with florist assistance. Bakery and cakes with the ability to place orders and have names and event information added to cakes. Well stocked Deli with pre cut meats. Good fresh fruit and vegetables section. Seafood counter with fresh fish and live lobster. The meat section is good with better prices than most of the other locals. Redbook, coinstar, and scratch ticket vending machine. Self checkout."

"My first time shopping in Shaws in years! By far the best when it comes to fresh produce and having basic essentials all in STOCK. I can't stand going to 5 different stores in one day just because they have part of what you need for dinner. The workers were friendly lines can be backed up when checking out but it moves quickly."
