"Dr. Aaronson treated my 8 week old for a lip tie and posterior tongue tie that were impacting her breastfeeding and bottle feeding. She was gaining weight, but she was straining to feed; her latch was painful for me and she couldn’t create suction on the bottle. I decided to have her treated the day Dr. Aaronson diagnosed her oral restrictions. Dr. Aaronson clearly explained the procedure, recovery timeline, and oral exercises to promote healing and improved tongue function. The procedure was very quick and my baby recovered easily. Dr. Aaronson checked in via text and was available to answer follow-up questions. My baby didn’t like the exercises at first, but I turned them into a game and after a few days she was smiling and unbothered by them. I noticed improvements in bottle feeding the day after the procedure. Breastfeeding took a little longer to improve. I did the stretches diligently 6x per day. My baby received chiropractic body work with Lizzie Sobel, DC in Needham. I also met with my lactation consultant soon after her procedure. Breastfeeding improved significantly around 3 weeks post procedure due to all of these efforts, but I definitely wouldn’t still be breastfeeding if it weren’t for the procedure and Dr. Aaronson’s expertise in diagnosing her oral restrictions. Dr. Aaronson’s office provided all the documentation I needed to submit for reimbursement to our insurance company. I paid upfront, but Blue Cross Blue Shield reimbursed the full cost. If you suspect your child has oral restriction, please don’t hesitate to make an appointment with Dr. Aaronson!"

She spent lots of time with us explaining the anatomy of the mouth, what ties are, and answered every question we had with straightforward information. "Dr. Aaronson has made such a huge impact on my health and my newborn’s health! I had my posterior tongue tie released as an adult last year and saw significant improvement in reducing/eliminating my tension headaches, snoring, and upper back pain. The range of motion in my neck improved as well, and my speech is clearer and I get less fatigued when I talk for a long time. "As a dentist myself, when I needed my newborn’s posterior tongue tie released I wanted to see the best and drove an hour and a half to see Dr. Aaronson. I was blown away by Dr Aaronson’s initial consultation presentation. I initially inquired about both a tongue and a lip tie, and after functional assessment she determined only the tongue tie was clearly necessary and we would re-evaluate the lip at the post-op. My husband and I really appreciated her conservative and honest approach, and felt completely comfortable with her recommendations. As someone in the field, she’s gone above and beyond taking all of the training I would want my daughter’s provider to take throughout the country in this specific area. "Dr Heidi treated my 2 month old for tongue tie in the middle of a painful and frustrating breastfeeding journey. Her treatment is a major reason why I'm still breastfeeding a month later--without pain! She caught a posterior tongue tie that was missed by another provider, and also clearly explained how to do to the tongue stretches to ensure proper healing. She gave us a great packet of info to reference during the healing period, which is vital because if you are a new parent you remember about 10% of what is said during appointments! She is kind and has a warm demeanor, so important when dealing with the emotions of trying to feed your baby and make the best decisions for them. She checked in on us the evening of the procedure and was available by text and by follow up appointment to give us sanity checks that our little one was healing well.
