Reviews of Fetch a Pet
"I've been told a picture is worth a thousand words so here is a small essay of photos to describe just some of the moments we've been sharing together as my lil puppy grows into the the sweet and amazing Huskeranian she is! She is so intelligent and training has been a breeze. The staff at fetch a pet really cares about their puppies and the owner has improved this place alot recently! They sell amazing toys & products for the puppies as well!"
"This is Genevieve my beautiful pomsky I got from fetch a pet a few years back she was expensive but worth every penny. The store gave me the kennel leash and necklace that we still use to this day. Highly recommended would do everything again, the best dog ever. I'm glad the owner remembers customers years later how excellent! Great place 10/10 would go to again."
"Not one, not two .. not even three but four animals we have given an amazing home from our favorite pet store. We absolutely love love love Fetch A Pet!! We are there numerous times a week getting all our pets needs. Staff is very friendly, greets us as we walk in. Very attentive to the animals. The place is clean and kept up with. We enjoy coming here and recommend to everyone needing a new addition to their home; or even to grab pet needs. Thank you for all you do— You rock the block!!"
"Best pet shop around no doubt. All of the animals are super well cared for and healthy. The staff are always taking care of the animals. I recently got my puppy from here and he is the sweetest boy. They sent me home with everything I needed, (kennel, leash, collar, toys, food). Chris was super patient in explaining the shot records and they even have a vet that checks all the dogs every week. I was also informed that they check all the dogs fecals to test for worms, parasites, etc. to ensure an healthy dog, and they won’t send the dog home if they don’t pass. Everyone was super helpful and answered all my questions. The store is super clean, between the dog bins, fish tanks, and just overall. I would recommend this place to anyone. The process to get a new puppy is super easy, and like I mentioned before everyone is super helpful. Glad to have a place like Fetch A Pet in the area. I am beyond thankful to have my new puppy, Oakley!!"
"My boyfriend and I bought an Australian Shepherd from Fetch A Pet mid October... unfortunately he had to wait a few days to take him home because he needed to be dewormed and seen by their vet. We finally got him home on October 18th... on October 21st he was extremely sick, lethargic, vomiting, severe diarrhea, he would cry if anyone touched him or even if he moved, and he wouldn't eat or drink anything. I brought him to the vet and he was there diagnosed with Parvovirus. He was then admitted into the emergency vet in Manchester for 5 days we racked up $7,000 in vet bills. We have pet insurance but it didn't kick in for 30 days. I was extremely hesitant on adopting a puppy from a pet store for this very reason but I ended up there one afternoon and fell in love with my Moose. While he was in Fetch A Pets care before we could take him home I would visit him everyday and he had diarrhea incidents and he vomited on two separate occasions. I brought it to the staffs attention and they said it was probably because of his food change. After immediately contacting the owner, Chris and informing him of Moose's diagnosis he told me he would reimburse me up to the cost of the puppy or take my puppy back and "treat him there." I was absolutely speechless because I was told by the ER that my puppy needed 24/7 monitoring, a feeding tube, IVs and countless medications to help give him a chance of survival. Chris refused to help pay for vet bills, opened his shop less than an hour after being informed of this, he was also very flippant about the fact that one of his puppies was diagnosed with parvo and possibly exposed all of his other puppies to parvo. Moose was contagious while he was there, per the vet incubation period for parvo is 5-7 days. He was home for 3 before he became ill. I'm posting this review to inform people of this deadly virus. Parvo is highly contagious and spreads fast. When we asked for my puppy's records of a negative parvo test Chris informed us that he had "given us everything." I had received no negative results even though he told us that the puppies are tested for parvo weekly. This situation is heartbreaking and I never want anyone to experience a situation even remotely close to this. Be careful if you enter this shop because you could bring parvo home to any dog you may have. Response to the owner: For your information, my adult dog is vaccinated AND she was never sick. She was brought to the vet to ensure her health and she had no symptoms or signs of sickness. She was tested, cleared, and declared as healthy. Maybe you should do a little research on parvo. One little google search would provide you with the incubation period for parvo in puppies. My puppy was sick after three days. Would you like me to attach the $7000 vet bill? I would be happy to. It seems like a common theme for you to be placing blame on everyone else. Take accountability, "be better.""
