Reviews of La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Manchester
"Absolutely some of the rudest staff I've ever witnessed in my life! I am not one to complain as I work too and know how it is but this was truly next level disrespectful! We (myself and other guests) also overhead many loud and inappropriate conversations about other guests and staff in the hotel! You might want to block the kiddo's ears if you plan on staying and use the front entrance. For the sake that I'm human and already feel bad writing my first bad Google review I will skip the rest but trust me when I say the list goes on much longer! Breakfast was good though!"
"Place is being renovated. Stayed on the 4th floor in a newly renovated room. Beautiful , clean and open the other rooms are clean but need an upgrade. Would totally come back. Staff was great"
"I cannot recommend this hotel. Higher priced than newer, better, cleaner, and better located hotels in Manchester. The room smelled, it’s dated and they’re completing renovations. The breakfast is low quality as is the coffee. People that work there are nice though. They should seriously discount the price when cheaper better hotels are within walking distance of restaurants and a nice downtown area."
"I have had good experiences during all five of my stays in the past year. The staff are always great! The rooms are clean, comfortable and well designed, with nice amenities. Noise levels are low, except during the day with the renovations, which is understandable. Water pressure and temperature are good. The hotel is conveniently located, feels safe, and has ample parking. The entire building is getting a rehab. Overall, I would recommend and will happily continue to stay there."
"Let me start out by saying that I haven’t *ever* checked out of a hotel early, until this one. We had two different stays on the same trip booked, and the second room was worse than the first (which I didn’t believe would even be possible). As other reviewers pointed out, this place is under construction, which we didn’t know about before we got there (and wasn’t even DISCLOSED anywhere ahead of time, not even reflected in the price). The pool was closed “for maintenance” and the entrances were a guessing game as to which was ever open at any given time. I got a text the morning of our stay saying that the pool would be “temporarily closed” when we arrived. It never reopened. Our first room had a decent view of the river, but the second was right next to the construction (so we couldn’t open our curtains, and the noise started at 8am). We asked to move our second room based on the construction and the awful smell of mold and mildew and smoke, and were told every single room was sold out already (even though the trip had been booked for months). The door of the second room looked like someone had broken into it with a screwdriver, and the door barely locked. The first room didn’t smell great, and one of the two mattresses was filthy. The second one smelled AWFUL and both mattresses had blood on them and were generally disgusting. Absolutely wild that we were able to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn for only $20 more a night after we left, and that place was so nice we stayed an extra night. The only saving grace about this place was that the front desk staff were pretty nice, and they didn’t give us grief for leaving early or try to charge us extra. The head badge off my car was stolen the first night we were there. Not necessarily the hotel’s fault, but the parking lot has zero security, and the location isn’t great unless you’re trying to score meth."
