Reviews of Holiday Inn Express Fall River North, an IHG Hotel
"I will never ever come back to this holiday inn. Worst experience I ever had at hotel. They don’t take cash deposits. Then one of the workers took my pizza that was full of food in the box out threw it away. It was on top of the Microwave at that. I got a sorry but ole well attitude nothing was accommodated. They got the poorest customers service I have ever seen. I run a Cannibis shop and wanted to relax for the weekend. I should have saved my money and time and been somewhere else. There isn’t no smart tvs you all need to update your tvs nobody watches direct cable I had to bring my chrome cast to watch tv on. Definitely unhappy with service of this place I can only say the shower was nice and the bed."
"My expectations were low as I grew up in Fall River and didn’t expect much. I’m glad I was wrong. The hotel is very well maintained, super clean and vibrant. The staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The indoor pool was open and a nice escape from the dull winter. The included breakfast was not your typical continental deal with some muffins and cereal. It’s a full breakfast and was delicious. I expected to be awoken during the night by noise as our room was in the middle of the hall and I’m a light sleeper, but it was so quiet it was like we were the only guests on the floor. Highly recommend for anyone traveling through the area or just needing an evening of moderate indulgence."
"I stayed here for work for a week. I got in late and my room smelled so bad like cigarettes. I was too tired to complain and thought it would go away or I would get used to it, but no it made me nauseous all week. I had to come back to Fall River the next week for work and knew I would absolutely not be staying here again and would rather stay 20+ minutes from my client. Of course when I look at my credit card statement the next week I have a $95 charge from this hotel and when I called they said it was an accident and meant for someone else ? I get they have a $100 deposit but this charge posted. They also wouldn’t give me an invoice when I asked at first to determine what the charge was. They said they would reverse it and someone would contact me the next day. No contact from anyone the next day so I call again and they knew who I was and said the charge would be reversed by the end of the day OR week. Well that was 10 days ago and still nothing. Do not stay here."
"I usually go out of my way to avoid hotels stays at IHG hotel properties. I've been travelling for business for 30 years and one just never knows what they're going to get when one checks into an IHG property... Upon my most recent check-in, I was told the property needed a $100 deposit for my stay even though the room had already been paid for. When I asked why $100 since every other hotel that I check into only requires $50, I was told that this hotel is "modern." What a sham! Next, I was given two room keys to a room on the second floor. As soon as I opened the hotel room door, I was greeted with the distinct smell of stale cigarette smoke. I gathered my belongings and headed back down to the check-in desk. I was then given two keys for a room on the first floor. AGAIN, as soon as I opened the hotel room door, I was greeted with the distinct smell of stale cigarette smoke. RINSE-n-REPEAT, I headed back to the hotel check-in desk. At this point, there were two other gentlemen near the check-in desk and I overheard one of them say that their hotel room stank... I had to ask... they both chimed in that their hotel room(s) reeked of stale cigarette smoke too. Now, I'll ask, what are the chances of four hotel rooms in the space of a few minutes that are reported to hotel staff because they reek from the smell of stale cigarette smoke?!? I then received another set of two keys to a room on the 4th floor. By this time, I'm was worn out! This third room did not reek of stale cigarette smoke but it was dank... The following morning, I had three items from the breakfast bar: scrambled eggs, a cinnamon roll and two glasses of milk. Needless to say on my way to the local airport for a flight, my stomach started acting up with the result that at least one of these breakfast items had given me "the runs." How on Earth can a hotel serve food that causes people to get sick is completely beyond me... Before leaving the hotel, I asked to speak with the hotel manager, but he wasn't in. I called the hotel to ask to speak with the manager at 9:30AM the following morn and he was still not in. It would appear that Mr. Patel maintains "banker's hours." For a "modern" hotel, this place is on the way to becoming a dump! There are significant material things wrong at this hotel and the fact that there is NOT a hotel manager on site to listen to feedback and correct deficiencies should tell every other prospective hotel patron to simply go elsewhere because they frankly don't give two craps! One other thing, I would have given this hotel property "zero" stars but that is not an option in writing a review..."
"Easy to find. Polite professional staff. Very clean room. My only complaint is Both nights, had group of very suspicious men partying in the back-parking lot right by my vehicle and room window. Unlikely not staying at the hotel. Ongoing loud criminal activity right in the back parking lot outside my ground floor window (rm 128). Booze, smoking weed, loud yelling, outrageously loud rap/gangsta music coming from a parked Camaro convertible they parties around. Went on til 4am Saturday. Same until 1am Sunday. Both days I had a 6am start. I was concerned for my safety since this all was going on 10ft from my window and right next to my parked vehicle."
