"After complaining of tooth pain/cold sensitivity for months Dr P did a filling. It quickly started feeling worse so he tried to chisel the 'bite', use Sensodyne, and apply a seal on the tooth. He had told me I didn't need a root canal but a hygienist in his office said to see an endodontist. While waiting for that appointment it became painful with swelling extending from right side where the filling was all the way across my neck to the left side, compromising my airway and almost needing hospitalization. The abscess that had developed erupted like a volcano. The root canal took care of the problem."
