The Cliffside Inn

"We had such an amazing time at the Cliffside inn. From checking in with Peter, who went above and beyond with my special request, to breakfast the next morning. The grounds are beautiful, they had the fireplace going all day! And the place itself was out of this world. We stay in the Loft room and it was such an experience, the room was pristine and comfortable. The fireplace in the main area was a nice touch!"

"Went here for my birthday,first time we’ve been. The staff are amazing,the inn is beautiful. Nice area and easy to find. Within walking distance to a ton of food and drinks and stores. Sits right atop the “Cliff walk”…amazing views and walk. Definitely check this inn out if you’re in the area."

"It’s always a great experience at the Cliffside Inn- no matter the time of year. The staff are warm, knowledgeable about the area, and provide a fun vibe. The extra touches like snacks in the lobby, wine hour, and a cozy fire places and a fire put are lovely. Highly recommend The Cliffside Inn."

"My partner and I came here for a mini getaway to celebrate his birthday. We chose the loft room because of the main photo on their site showing the skylights above the bed. I was super excited about that feature however upon arrival we were escorted to our room only to be told that the skylights above the bed are under repair and will not be functional during our stay. I was quite disappointed but what was I going to do at that point? I had already paid close to $1000 for 2 nights and didn’t have any other options at that point. I do feel that this should have been repaired prior to our arrival or a discount for the inconvenience or even a different room option should have been offered. The individual that checked me in actually came to tell me that they needed to charge my card an extra penny, lol. They are worried about a penny instead of making sure everything is functional for their guests! What a joke! The bed frame appears to be too big for the mattress because the frame oddly sticks out at the bottom end of the bed, I bumped my legs on it multiple times just walking by and have some serious bruising on both legs because of it. The water pressure in the bathroom was extremely low and the whirlpool bath took forever to fill up. The bed wasn’t comfortable at all, quite hard. The pillows did make it somewhat tolerable. We definitely had trouble falling asleep. I did get quite the workout going up and down the inn stairs to the room, lol. Also the room never gets truly dark due to the blinds on the 2 small windows not being very effective so it is somewhat hard to sleep in. Overall the room was quite underwhelming and not at all what I expected. The inn itself is beautiful and has a quick access pathway to the cliff walk which was quite nice. They offer a simple breakfast, coffee and other hot beverages. I was quite surprised to see that the outside fire pit was on most of the time and enjoyed sitting around the fire with my partner. The wine hour is definitely a nice touch as well."

"Victorian room is hot and noisy. Beware. This room is in the front hall and near kitchen, so expect noise beginning at 7 am daily. And even though we set thermostat at 64, the room never got cool. On the plus side, we enjoyed wine hour and snacks, and staff was friendly and helpful. Interior design was nice. Breakfasts were ok."
