"Really top class room. We had The Plantation Room. Tastefully decorated and the hosts had thought of everything down to the makeup face cloth, toiletries and dressing gowns. Coffee making facilities in the room which was very welcome for a couple of English guests as not all American places have this facility. Immaculate clean room with great view of the harbour. The hosts were friendly and hospitable and we were invited for wine and cheese with them in the tastefully decorated period sitting room. John and Laurence were helpful guides in where to visit and what to eat, and were able to link us to a phone map which proved very useful. Breakfast was delicious with eggs Benedict on the menu. Could not have wished for a more comfortable stay after a hectic week in NY. Top quality luxury stay in beautiful Newport."

"Our stay at The Almondy Inn was amazing! The Inn was beautiful and the rooms were immaculate. There were fresh baked cookies everyday, wine and cheese happy hour with the other guests every evening and a delicious homemade breakfast every morning! John and Laurence were wonderful hosts, they were extremely welcoming and friendly and were more than willing to help give directions or advice on what to see in Newport, RI. Would 100% recommend staying at The Almondy Inn and we will definitely be returning again!"

"We had a wonderful girls' trip to Newport in June and the Almondy Inn completed it so perfectly. Laurence and John were incredibly gracious hosts and went out of their way every day to make sure we were perfectly comfortable. They even gave me a special birthday treat! The home is beautiful, the wine and cheese hour is "required," as they say, and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend staying here!"

"This is a wonderful place in a perfect location about a block from America’s Cup Avenue. Our room was as described; very comfortable and clean. We started with a nice wine and cheese reception in the evening and had an excellent french inspired homemade breakfast in the morning. The best part of the stay was the innkeepers, John & Laurence. Great people who went out of their way to make our stay special. Highly recommended! We will visit again!"
