"The only thing nicer than the hotel is the staff. We had a plumbing issue at 1030pm. It wasn't a big deal for me. I just wanted to let them know so they could schedule a repair for the morning. After getting off the phone with the Front Desk, Roger in maintenance was at my room in less than 3 minutes. The front desk associate, Rodney, was helpful from the time I arrived until the time he got off work. No request was too much for him. He found parking for my oversized vehicle, provided a friendly, pleasant, and expeditious check-in, AND answered every question I had about the hotel. Everything about this hotel was wonderful and I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area."
"A decent business hotel. Everything is just as well as needed to be. Nothing more nothing less. There are a couple of places to eat nearby but if you are a tourist it can be hard to reach the downtown every day, but fir business trips it is quite good. Bed was very comfortable and room service was excellent."
"I recently spent the past weekend at this Westin attending a gaming convention let me say how the hotel treated the gaming convention was nothing short of appalling. For one the convention was supposed to have a 24-hour run of the convention hall it was agreed upon in the contract and as was advertised however apparently the hotel management decided to change their mind about this at the last minute and told us to go sit and spin. On top of this the bartenders at the open bar areas seem to completely ignore the actual convention goers in favor of other guests I waited for nearly 25 minutes trying to wave down a bartender to order a simple drink and was promptly ignored every time. I legitimately see no reason now or in the future to ever patronize this hotel chain again certainly not this location in particular"
"Nice facility but very poorly managed. My wife and daughter and I checked in for a one night stay before a flight out of town the next day. First impression was a dirty, poorly lit parking garage that gave the impression of "danger". Check in was pleasant and efficient. Getting to our room I realized that housekeeping obviously removed the used towels from the previous occupant but did not leave any new ones. We requested some and they did arrive. When it was time to retire we opened the sofa bed for my daughter and realized that there were no pillows for her. We called to the front desk and were told they would be brought up "right away". After 45 minutes they had not arrived and she ended up spending the night without a pillow. In the morning we wanted a check on the weather so we tried to turn on the TV--nothing. We tried the remote control and the switch on the TV and nothing worked. These are all things that housekeeping should be checking on every check out and management should be auditing. I have spent 899 nights (almost 2 1/2 years) in Marriott hotels and this one is one of the most disappointing. We will never stay at the Westin Waltham again."
