Reviews of Tully Lake Campground
"Second time here, stayed at site 27 with family. Nice quiet site in the woods, lake still slightly visible. First time stayed in a site by the water. Easy to navigate, clean, safe campground with great views and lots to do! Had an awesome time."
"This was by far the most “luxurious” campsite I’ve stayed at. The ranger hut (open 8a-8p) has everything you could possibly need, including free towels and $2 coffee. The sites are spacious but not so spread out so that even the furthest site (which we were) was still reasonably close to the bathrooms and dumpsters. The rangers said they haven’t had issues with bears but we brought a bear canister regardless and it was perfect for keeping bugs, squirrels and other critters away from our food. The bathrooms were clean, well-lit, and well stocked. Other reviewers mention that the sites are close enough that you can hear people at other campsites, or that people are walking through your campsite. It’s true that there are trails that connect the three site plans, but if anyone walked through our camp, it was not an issue. I found that there was the normal amount of camp noise. There is a swimming point, boats for rent, and even the other campers were friendly. I would not hesitate to stay here again."
"Nice, quiet campground. The staff is friendly and the bathrooms are very clean. This is a walk-in campground, so they have carts available to roll your gear back to your campsite to set up. There are plenty of carts but not enough for everyone to keep one at their campsite so you need to make sure you return the cart to the parking lot when you're done bringing stuff to your site. It's tent-only, which is nice. They have canoes and cornhole to rent, etc. I'd highly recommend it. They also have a wash station outside of the bathrooms to be able to wash your dishes so bring a basket or bucket or something to carry them to the bathroom. There are hiking trails through the campground and within walking distance from it (as well as the surrounding area)."
"Beautiful but not worth the cost! We lucked out and got campsite 20A and as beautiful and “private” as it is, it really isn’t a private site at all, from day one of our stay we had random hikers and even our next door campers coming to our site, like literally walking right on to the little island past our tent to scope it out even after we told them to leave. We had our two dogs with us and they were barking which of course echoed. It had us on edge wondering who else would just pop up. We left a day early and we addressed this with the rangers, they said they’ll “put more signs up” but didn’t even offer a refund for the remaining day, and didn’t even reply to an email either just left it at that. There are definitely better campsites!"
"At $43 per night and $10 per bundle of undried wood, Tully Lake Campground is easily the most expensive campground that I've ever made a reservation with. I had hoped it'd be worth it - it wasn't. The site map online is incredibly unclear. If you camp here, don't reserve Site #10. It will be the darkest, buggiest spot it the campground and it will be very close to the restroom. When I spoke with a ranger on the phone, they assured me that the site I was looking to reserve, was secluded to some degree. When we arrived, our site was so close to the bathroom that you could hear the toilet flush. This wasn't the relaxing trip that I had planned and researched for. We didn't even set up our tent and decided to go home."
