"Amazing location. The decor, the fact they have a theater and restaurant located in the hotel and record players with records in each room... Had the old time feel ...harks back to an Earlier time.. they even use actual keys for your room and they cleaned the snow off my car the next morning."

"My wife and I stayed at Latchis on 12/30/23. It was a getaway gift for both of us. We were in town to see Bella's Bartok, one of our favorite bands. If you haven't seen them, do what you have to do to get to a show and be sure to bring your dancing shoes! We picked Latchis due to it's location. Close to food, drinks, and the venue. The lobby was beautiful art deco that felt like you walked back in time. Check in was super smooth. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and kind. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and super clean. The best part of the room was the record player and stack of albums. Nice touch Latchis. We were fortunate enough to have a Cha-Cha album in our mix and some great jazz. We found oursleves having cocktails and dancing the Cha-Cha before we even made it to the venue! The bed was firm, refrigerator in the room, great view of Brattleboro, big bathroom, and a record player.....PERFECT!!! Did I mention that it was clean? For an old hotel, this place passed my strict clean test with flying colors! Our trips focus was the show. We were there to dance the night away to Bella's Bartok. What I wasn't anticipating was having such a wonderful time in our hotel room. We had so much fun that we left our winter ski jackets in our closet. Didn't realize it until we got home to CT. The front desk was over the top kind to be sure to let us know they located our coats and quickly packed them up for UPS. Thank you Latchis Hotel, for a real good time! We will be sure to be back!"

"Awesome place overall. The service was great. Immediately upon check-in I was warmly greeted and pointed in the right direction for restaurants and shops. My room was clean and even had a record player along with 20 or so records."

"Incredibly well-preserved 1938 “Greco Deco” hotel. Terrazzo everywhere and I think the bathroom fixtures were almost all original. Perfect location. Very reasonable prices. Loved it!"

"Plusses and minuses. As others have written, the Latchis is an historic treasure, a bit run down (the bedding in particular needs an overhaul), and central to all of Brattleboro. Room was super clean and noise was not a problem on a weeknight. Free parking in a private lot. Note that the "free complimentary breakfast" touted as an amenity has been DISCONTINUED."
