"Can I give zero stars! My elderly father went to Aspen Dental in West Springfield MA for dentures and dental work. He did not want to bother his children and figured he could handle the issue. He’s retired. On a fixed income, and has medical issues. Aspen Dental sold my father a treatment plan and financing option for over $16,000. An amount he can not afford, even with payments! Aspen Dental then was paid $16,000 by the finance company for procedures not even done!!! When my father who gets confused, is on oxygen, and can barely hear, came home with the paperwork we immediately had him call back, less than 24hrs later, and cancel the contract and any further appointments. Over a month later no refund was provided by the Aspen Dental office in West Springfield! It took me calling the finance company and then the dental office demanding a refund for services never rendered and a promise to call the Massachusetts Attorney Generals Office before a refund was just Processed. Still waiting for the actual money to be returned to the finance company so we can close the account ! Nightmare! After finding a family dentist accepting new patients in the area, who came highly recommended, I went to the West Springfield Aspen Dental office to get my fathers medical records, X-rays, etc. by the way, good luck getting free anything like advertised. They charged him for X-rays saying he got the “upgraded x-rays” now I have no idea what this means but ok. At this point I just want dad done with this While at the dental office in West Springfield waiting to be handed my dads medical records an elderly women came in distraught about pricing for her procedures. I felt incredible empathy for this women after seeing what my father was going through, so I offered her the number of a local family dentist taking new patients. She declined and said thank you. I responded “ your welcome”. I just don’t recommend Aspen Dental”. well hell has no fury like miffed office staff. I was immediately screamed at by no less than 3 individuals about “you can’t talk like that” “don’t bother our patients” when I explained that as far as I knew a conversation between two people, expressing opinions and me expressing my views was still legal in the USA I was told to sit down and “be quite”. This is when the Dr. came to the front. Tall, well built, younger chap, beard, and piercing brown eyes told me “this is my practice. Get out or I’m calling the cops”! I stated I’ve done nothing wrong. I’m not leaving without my fathers records. Call the police. They did. I was given my records. Left the building and met the police outside. Where I was allowed to leave. In my humble opinion, Aspen Dental is using high pressure sales tactics on elderly patients who may be vulnerable to such sales techniques. Not to mention the pricing at Aspen Dental in my opinion is exorbitant at best! Please, I repeat please, DO NOT take my word for any of this. Use this review as a catalyst to do your OWN research! If you do go and get pricing, quotes, call ANY private practice dentist office and run the quotes you Received from Aspen Dental past them. You will be amazed at what you are told."
