"I’m horrified by the disrespect shown to patients, the refusal for needed treatment & management, & lack of professionalism. I won’t provide a name right now. She’s in the Orange office. I have an upcoming appt. I dont need her to report that I attacked her etc. My insurance suggested filing grievances w/ CHCFC & eventually filing w/ the state medical board. There are so many violations. I was strung along, my needs were blatantly ignored w/ fictional “excuses”. When I scheduled an appt to discuss problems w/ my treatments, the appts were coincidentally canceled at the last moment. This happened 4x’s My visit summaries are inaccurate. For ex, a summary will say “we discussed this & that” when in fact it was never brought up & only served to sully my record. One summary states I wanted pain killers. In past appts I DID ask for this. Despite pharmacy & med records showing this was a normal med, prescribing it was out of the question. OK. It is what it is. I don't need to get out of bed ever. But my issue is that during the appt in question, I never mentioned painkillers. Yet it was one of the highlights of my visit summary! Regarding meds, I was told that my NY doctors should continue prescribing these meds & if the med required a Masshealth prior authorization, my NY docs should do the paperwork. It’s one thing after another. I’ve provided a list of my meds from the 1st visit in 12/21. The list is still inaccurate. I have continued to send corrections throughout the entire year. My med record is incomplete & incorrect. My needed referrals have never been provided. My NP told me that she’s written too many referrals to specialists & she won’t write any more. She has specifically written me one. Another PCP wrote me 2. She won’t prescribe me my needed meds W/ the exception of 3 seizure meds. Seizures are the least of my med concerns. I’m literally being denied necessary med treatment. How could I ever development a positive relationship with this group? My health has crumbled over the past year & my NP has simply watched & done nothing while acting like she’s done everything in her power to help me. While falsifying my med record. Despite providing the info to obtain my med records numerous times, I was told I did not. When she finally looked at one doc’s med records, she documented that she’ll look over them. She must have been surprised with 2.5 years of records, or 281pages. I have 12 years of records. Without the records, I don’t think she believed a word I said. I know I’m a complicated patient with many health concerns. Simpler patients might not have such a bad experience as myself. However, you should be aware going into it that you could enter a health care system that makes a mockery of their goal to help the community. I will submit this review & add to it at a later stage. I have so many shocking stories that are humorous if you want to laugh and not cry. Ill leave with one story. I knew I wouldn’t make it in time for an appt. I called 5 mins before the scheduled time. I didn’t get through to anyone until 5 mins after my scheduled time (only by using the portal and having to text & drive) at which point I asked to cancel. I was delayed because of road construction & I got off course twice. I didn’t know when I would arrive. After repeating numerous times that I thought it best to cancel, I was told my NP was still willing to wait & see me. During our appt, she made it very clear that I had interrupted her schedule & that I could not do this in the future. I was scolded throughout my appt & we never focused on the fact that I was there as a patient to discuss my health. At the end of the appt, we walked to the door together & as we were beginning to walk in opposite directions, she turned to me & said “I checked GPS, & there was no construction so that was not a valid reason for why you were late.” 1. Creepy 2. Immature 3. Fictional. How would she be privy to my route? 4. She simply had to get in one last dig. I’m out of characters. I’ll add part 2 soon. Theres a reason why they call NPs mid-level."
"I was desperately seeking a dentist to help me with teeth that started breaking and filings falling out during Covid. No one around would see me because they didn't take my insurance. My gums were getting infected and I had pain every day with every sip of cold water or hot food. Finally I heard about CHCFC having a free Emergency dental clinic in the basement of Baystate Franklin Hospital! I called for several days before I got a same day appointment, but the Receptionist, Alycia, was always kind and supportive and so happy when she was able to give me a same day appointment. I have to be honest: I thought it was going to be a hellish experience, as most memories of dental visits are not pleasant and i wondered how good a free clinic could be!?! To my complete surprise and relief, I met the dentist there, Dr. Almabrouk Kernaf and he was as gentle and skilled as I could ask for! For the first time in my life I got 3 fillings taken care of WITHOUT ANY ANESTHESIA! And a fourth was done with the most painless needle I've ever had!! I WAS SHOCKED! Dr. KERNAF was so skilled at repairing my teeth and helping me to stay comfortable that I couldn't believe it!! He gently kept me informed of everything he was doing and about to do so I could work with him. Unlike some dentists in the past, he didn't seem annoyed when I needed a break. He actually gave me some breaks in just right moments and was able to make me laugh and relax and feel comfortable while he was drilling and filling!! Being cared for by Dr. Kernaf was actually the most positive dental experience I've had in my many, many years of being miserable at the dentist! I left there happy and honestly feeling so much better about myself. In two visits Dr. Kernaf fixed problems in my mouth that had me feeling so badly for so long, both physically and emotionally. I felt like a million bucks when he was done and no more pain! Now I just want to know how I can keep Dr. KERNAF as my permanent dentist because that was a whole different experience for me... The assistants he had were also quite helpful, kind and knowledgeable and he and they worked quite well together. Overall, I have to give my experience with Dr. KERNAF at the Emergency dental clinic, more than 10 out 10 because it surpassed any expectations I had. Great Dentist... for me really he is the best dentist ever!"
"Incredibly disorganized & unprofessional PCP office. My mother has a multitude of ailments & they are dismissive of her every time. They don’t return calls & even their 24/7 emergency line never gets answered. I would not believe it if I had not witnessed it myself a few times. I tried last night again & the message says please hold for our emergency answering service & then the music played for more than 30 minutes before she asked me to take her to ER. She had an amazing Doctor (Beth) in the past who gave us reason to keep returning, but this continuing incompetence is grounds for neglect of their clients. If something happens to my mom I will certainly sue this institution."
"I've been with CHCFC for the better half of a decade. And they were great!! My doc at the time Beth was amazing, personable, and actually listened to your needs. I now have Lisa Miller my first visit with her was rather bleek! Her attitude was awful, she came off as condescending, dismissive and just plane ride.. trying to set up a follow up thro CHC's customer service is a nightmare to deal with.. and the follow up appointment with a different practitioner went out the window. It was supposed to be virtual and they were a no show, thank you for wasting my lunch break!! They call me 20 minutes late to tell me they are having technical issues... Idk maybe email the client stating that would be solid courtesy. The Doctor who called the. Says she doesn't know what the visit is even for O.o... how do you have an appointment with a patient and now know what the follow up appointments was even for? How is it not standard practice to at least read up on the last visit!!! This place has gone down hill in the past 2 years! I used to be able to trust this place and it's practitioners, now I can't!!"
