"We recently stayed in the Topia Inn newly branded as The Trail. It was so nice and steps from downtown Adams MA and all the stores and restaurants. We had a great time and Kate our host was so welcoming!"
"This place exceeded expectations. Great for an easy getaway weekend with lots of activities nearby, hiking (Mt Greylock), biking (rail trail) and culture (MassMOCA). There is a good restaurant (Firehouse Cafe) and breakfast/coffee (Daily Grind) place in the cute downtown street right behind the inn to walk to. Pay attention to the email they send the day of your arrival, because it has all the codes and instructions to get in. Touch the black part of the key pad to make the numbers illuminate. There is no staff permanently on site. Which is great for privacy and mellow. But it is different in that you have to figure stuff out yourself - more of an airbnb scene than a country inn level of service. But there is a young sparkly woman across the street (“Kate”?) who comes by to check on you occasionally who is really nice and can give you advise if you can’t figure out stuff. She also knows the area and can help you (she told me about some falls nearby the locals swim at). I think the “for help” in the email and in the room calls her and she pops right over. I’m giving a 4 instead of a 5 because there is some ongoing construction/renovation currently upstairs and the area in the immediate vicinity of the place is a little less elegant than the inn itself. You need to park in a bar parking lot next door which is a little awkward. Oh, and the art and decor throughout the inn is very classy. Bottom line is this is a surprisingly convenient place for an easy getaway for some low key, fun activities to connect in private with somebody special."
"The Inn is located n transition to a new owner, so there was construction going on, which is fine, I was informed ahead of time. I enjoyed the size of the room (I was in Iroquois) and the large bed. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, modern, and I super enjoyed the steam shower! I felt the bed was too hard, and would have appreciated an extra blanket in the room without having to contact the owner or caretaker (who are both lovely). I would hope the new owner is changing the policy presented on the door, I’ve never seen something like this. But essentially it says they can come into your room and take your products and then charge you for “damage”. This is not disclosed ahead of time and seems outrageous. But nevertheless I had a quiet experience and enjoyed my time. There was use of the kitchen which had some delicious yogurt, coffee/tea/hot chocolate and cereals. I would wait until construction is done before returning."
"My boyfriend and I were up in the area for some hiking; had no hotel booked as we wanted to "wing it". This place had a room available last minute. We were not planning on having a stay like this! We loved the clay walls and all of the thoughtful decor that went into the inn. We stayed in the peacock room and it was beautiful. Although being fully booked; it was very quiet and allowed for us to rest and be recharged. We loved the selection of teas and the location of this place. We will be back someday!"
"From the moment my husband and I stepped through the door at Topia Inn, we were struck by the clean air quality and peaceful atmosphere. I could feel any tension in my mind and body subside within minutes. The hosts were cheerful and welcomed us with open arms and our room was beautiful and luxurious, with specially hand-plastered glazed walls and soft, organic cotton bed linens and towels. The bath was stocked with an abundance of complimentary toiletries, all chemical-free and I enjoyed a chroma therapy jacuzzi which turned my bath into a heavenly spa experience. Breakfast was included, the portions were very generous, and absolutely delicious, fresh and hearty. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and look forward to trying out the other uniquely themed rooms in the future. I highly recommend Topia Inn and am certain visitors will escape from all their troubles in this beautifully decorated oasis. Do not miss!!! A true gem!!!"
