"My husband and I stayed for one weekend night recently, and were very happy with our room, the service and atmosphere! I loved the ambiance of each room, the fire pit outside and the coziness of our room. Checking in at the Constance was a breeze, and picking up our key on arrival was fast and easy. I appreciated the text updates that included reminders about where to check in and driving directions. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of everything, and the bar offered every type of drink one could want. I only wish we would have had more time and could have stayed longer!"
"Perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway. Cozy bar/lounge area and firepit outside. Rooms are well equipped and clean. An all around great experience!"
"First and foremost, the location is perfection. You are in the heart of Lenox within an easy walk of any restaurant, shop, or bar you'd want to get to. It truly is the ideal spot. However β I have never been to any hotel in the US or in Europe that made it as difficult as this one does to get information or communicate with staff. The only way to "talk" to anyone is via text, so if you don't text, or have a phone that doesn't text, or are someone who prefers to actually talk to someone, you are out of luck. This came to fruition for us when it was discovered that the directions for how to use the TV (available only by QR code) were out of date and the wall units were set only to blow hot despite the fact that some people may want to sleep with air circulating that didn't involve keeping a window open on a 45 degree night. As regards the QR code, the hotel seems to favor technology over practicality, so if you did want to get information the only way to do so is on your phone. I suppose this wouldn't be terrible if the information were current, but there were no directions provided for the wall air unit so the room experience was a bit frustrating. The room itself was fairly well appointed; not flashy but with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was small (Room #31) with no real space provided to put one's toiletries. I would also say that if you are smaller of stature (I am 5'1"), getting into the bathtub/shower can be a challenge, particularly without any sort of handrail to hold onto. The shower gel / shampoo / conditioner were also placed relatively high βΒ for a much taller person β so getting to them wasn't easy, though the products themselves were nice. Finally, if stairs are difficult for you, do not stay on the 2nd or 3rd floors, available only via stairs. Would I stay here again? Really, I don't know. The difficulty of communication made me feel as if the hotel wishes to keep its guests at arm's length without providing any real customer service. It's unfortunate."
"Great location in the few square blocks that constitute the center of Lenox. Ambiance is good and staff friendly/helpful. Room is super clean and bed is comfortable. Drawbacks: This is not a contemporary structure; so, no elevator available. If you have a physical limitation, Call the hotel ahead before making reservation so you are properly accommodated. Some rooms may not have much acoustical separation."
"The entrance is around the restaurant in the front and toward the back of the building. The restaurant is currently not operating. It's really cute outside, but the rooms were super plain. I felt like I was in an old-fashioned boarding house. A bed, a dresser, and two chairs. No table between the chairs. The chairs weren't comfortable to relax in. No amenities in the bathroom. Just towels and shampoo. Good communication before check-in via text. The check-in is someone sitting at a table as you enter the front door. It was fairly efficient. There are 32 rooms over two floors. No elevator. Parking in the back. It's one way in and out. Great location. Easy to walk to things in Lenox. I won't stay there again though. It wasn't cozy or romantic."
