"Clean feel once I walked in. Comfortable bed and bathroom was pretty nice. Furniture was a little outdated but a/c worked great. This was non smoking. Smoking room i had an odor which was expected but still clean. For the price I couldnt complain and plenty of stuff around for food and shopping"
"Had a reservation for 1 night. We were meeting family and attending a local wedding.Pros...Very courteous man at desk. Motel is aged but the suite we visited was clean and spacious. We decided last minute to cancel becauseCons...Pool was not open and coffee shop is permanently closed. Since we were able to make other arrangements, we asked at desk to cancel with no charge. We were immediately accommodated no questions asked."
"2 storey 50's or older motel, quaint, clean, pretty basic. Always had trouble entering (doorknob key didn't work well & there's no key for the deadbolt, though you can use it once inside). Staff said it'd been lubed with WD 40, but graphite or a synthetic is the proper lube. Tile floors in large bathroom/sink/closet area were freezing cold in March, with a tiny independently controlled baseboard heater in the toilet area not making a difference. Floor tile looked new, they could've put inexpensive electric heat wiring under it. The through-wall heater in the main room was useful, but being under the window, caused the drapes mounted outside the window inset to flap noisily and interfere with the heat distribution; a tension rod closer to the window could eliminate that problem. March is the off-season, when the breakfast cafe is closed & rates are said to be lower, but not on weekends they say. After a heavy snowfall, it would be nice to see markers for the driveway and parking lot that blended in with the grass. Be careful if you need to go to the office: the half round 2 stairs are tall and difficult to climb (made worse by the doormat that doesn't completely cover the top stair, so when you step up you're leaning backwards). Been there a few years ago in summer, when the cafe, cute grounds, & the Apple store (fruit, cider, donuts) across the street were available. Then it was worth $85/night."
"It is a budget motel and as such rates pretty well. I am only speaking for room 22. It has been recently remodeled. Spacious and clean. Good bed linens and big nice towels. Large bathroom. Hot shower. Good value. The office is still in the 1950's. Checked in late and had to bang around to get the desk clerk. No breakfast (family issues we were told). No coffee till 9am. Would stay again if ever back up this way."
"Solid, but basic sleeping quarters. Family in area, this is our preferred location when visiting. Shower a bit like needles - took forever to get shampoo out of my (short) hair (normal low flow showers, I guess - I'm in there there three longer trying to get soap off, so not sure the benefit. :-) I liked bed, she didn't care for it (sheets rough, pillows flat). No TV program list (but lots of channels, list in Guest Info Guide). Good fridge, microwave, table, chairs, lots of outlets. Dog friendly, easy to walk, lots of grass. Great night sky (in back). We miss the coffee shop used to be here, great coffee and pancakes, love to see it come back!"
