Reviews of Gia Nina's Pizza
"The best Chicken cheese steak I ever had omg! Love the authentic atmosphere. Will be coming back soon. It was my first time."
"After living ten minutes away all these years, I finally tried Gia Nina’s in Woodbury, after realizing it’s so much more than a pizza joint. The atmosphere inside was very warm and inviting, with little lights everywhere, and a piano set up. The service was very efficient and friendly, and our food was amazing, with giant portions. I got the chicken petito, and the cutlet was so crispy and delicious. My mother got the same, with veal, and my father started with the lobster bisque and then had the Seafood Lasagna. We tried the Tiramisu and Dark Side of the Moon for dessert. We loved everything, had plenty to take home for a second meal, and look forward to going back."
"What a GEM! I was in NJ for business and spent too much time online looking for a place for dinner that was both authentic and gluten free. Found it! Gia Nina’s was a cute little restaurant with a line out the door. The description said BYOB, so the giant liquor store 3 blocks away was a must stop for a lovely bottle of red. Even though there was a 20 minute wait, they opened my bottle and I got to have a little pre-dinner tipple. I asked the hostess about their GF options and she said there were MANY. Almost all sauces, GF penne, GF crust for pizza; on my sweet server’s suggestion, who also has Celiac, I got the GF penne with Italian Sausage and a blush sauce. Friends, this was not “Barilla, disintegrate into mush, rice pasta”, this was “so good I’m scared it’s not really GF good”. Yes, it was $32 for one person, but I got a little salad, live music, and the most attentive service I’ve had in forever. What a beautiful end to a very long day. Thanks guys!!!"
"My new favorite place! We have taken out pizza from them before and enjoyed it, and when picking up the pies I would peek into the restaurant and it looked like such a cute little place…turns out not only is it a cute cozy charming place, but the service is friendly and attentive and the food is delicous and plentiful. Monday they have a special appetizer, salad, entree and desert and they make these great warm rolls they bring to the table as well. Highly recommend this place. Give them a try. The appetizers were mini calzone and buratta. I had manicotti bolognese, Elaine had eggplant parm and Rachel had lobster ravioli and it’s BYOB !!"
"This is one of my favorite local Italian restaurants. They are consistent and the food is good. The one problem today was that the soda was flat. They happily exchanged it for a bottle of soda. They have the best potato skins and garlic rolls that are unlike any other I have had. They serve them with roasted peppers. I often order pizza. The one thing I do not like is their pepperoni. They are super small pieces and it tastes like Hormel to me. The taste is overpowering and greasy. Overall, the restaurant has a good atmosphere and they often have a musician playing. One more thing worth mentioning, you may want to be ware if you have a seizure disorder…they have lights all over the restaurant that twinkle and flash."
