"My friend tried to test out a bike or something of the sort for their niece. Nothing crazy, just trying to see if it pedaled. This employee in her mid thirties (early forties? Not sure) with red hair comes up and asks her to get off of it. That’s fine, no issue with that. But, she goes, “that’s for little children, teenagers shouldn’t be riding around the store, this isn’t a playground, etc.” Thought that was weird and unnecessary, especially since my friend dismounted immediately after she asked her to, but whatever. Long day maybe. But, when we went to checkout, she was completely silent and then said, “the reason the bike didn’t work is because it’s for little kids, like little little kids…teenagers like you should know better…etc.” First of all, not a teenager, and in fact a long time customer. Second of all, just weird and rude. She was incessant about it too, like she just kept saying it. THEN she got into a screaming match with a customer and called here a serial killer. Definitely won’t be coming back any time soon. Just go to the one in Swarthmore and save your time."
"there was a really mean redheaded lady who insulted me for checking if the pedals on a bike worked. things here are pre-used, and I needed to check and see whether it's worth getting for a kid. furthermore, she rudely told me that it's "for little kids" and was dismissive when I explained. even if I just like small bikes, it's not fair to insult and judge me for that. she was also generally rude and impatient at checkout, and started an argument for no reason."
"everything is great, except one red-haired employee who really seems to hate it here. she told me i was not allowed to try an item, which i obliged. and then, while checking out, said something to me about how “teenagers shouldn’t try stuff that’s for children” and “you would think a teenager would like more mature thing”. just kept insinuating there was something inherently wrong with me even wanting to try the item. it’s one thing if it’s against policy, it’s another to look down on somebody and their interests. mean and spiteful all around."
"I was there when I suddenly felt I was going to be sick. The restrooms were locked and I was afraid to move so as to not vomit in the store. I actually called the store from where I was and explained my problem. The young man quickly came to my aid but said he'd have to let me use the men's room. Fine. Except, there was so much pee on the floor in front of the toilet, I ended up sitting sideways with the trashcan in front of me since I was sick at both ends. I couldn't believe how bad it was in there. What you do at home is your business, but in other people's homes or businesses, what you do is EVERYONE'S business. Guys, the hole is plenty big enough for you to hit. Please do. You don't know who will be in there next."
"The employees at this Goodwill store are so sweet and so kind. Every time I’ve entered the store I have been cheerfully greeted. I’m always hopeful that store management will stop their unrealistic pricing and commit to keeping their restrooms clean. I visit every so often and continually find the same two problematic areas. Number one is the pricing is ridiculously high. Number two is how dirty the store is, especially the ladies room."
