"Place is awesome! Nice cozy family atmosphere with a delicious menu. Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive and the prices are great for being in OC. Unfortunately I didn't try the donuts but the wife said they're delicious. Biscuits on the sandwich were FRESH. You could tell they were just recently made either that morning or the night before. Layton's is a place you NEED to check out for breakfast, just get there early. On our way out we noticed a ton of people waiting to get in, just beat the rush!"

"The crab omelette was awesome. A bite of delicious Maryland blue crab in every bite! I wasn’t expecting the sprinkle of Old Bay on top but it was a nice touch. The donuts there were great too. We tried the prune donut chain in O.C. but weren’t impressed. I don’t really care for the design your own donut places. Why not just make the donuts you’re good at? Baskin-Robbins only has 31 flavors, I’m sure they could go bigger too but who needs more than that?!??!"

"Establishment had a large Dining area, all the staff were friendly and polite. There was a good size parking lot in back of the restaurant and it was only a 15 minute wait for a table at 9 am which is very good. I love the seafood omelet which had juicy pieces of shrimp along with a crab cake cooked inside. The coconut banana pancakes tasted great as well. I was intrigued by the donuts at the front counter so I had to order some to go before I left. I will return on my next trip!"
