"Was a patient here for about 7 years. I had to ask peoples place for medical records and was asked "why do you need them?" Then I stated "Not answering that: I need my records that I have a right to receive" then, after signing a paper to ask permission for my records: I waited to be contacted when they were printed (as stated in the initial call). That never happened. So I called after a few weeks of silence. I was asked "what are you talking about" and hung up on. Then (during a shift at work) I was called and left a voice mail stating that if I don't pick up my records by 4:30 they were going to be thrown away and I would need to pay $35-45 to get another copy. The call was at 4pm. Then I rushed to the office, and asked for the records. I was, again, asked what papers. As I was explaining, the staff member interrupted me to ask why I'm angry.. and again: why I need the records."
"i had two therapists and a psychiatrist here. my therapists were pretty well overall, but my second therapist basically ghosted me. she would send e-mails to my mom with the zoom link, and my mom would sent me the links so i could join. one day, she didn’t show up for a meeting, which i thought was okay. but she just… stopped emailing them. i never heard from her after that and i have gone in twice since then to see my psychiatrist. that all occurred in october 2021. the treatment did help, but not for long. i’ve also had issues with my medication being refilled, and i haven’t seen my psychiatrist in almost 4 months i believe. i haven’t had my medication in 6 months. i don’t really recommend peoples place unless you don’t need medication and if you have “less severe” mental health issues."
"This place is unprofessional and will cancel your appointment for no apparent reason. My daughter had a appointment there for counseling today and they canceled her appointment at the last minute. I received a letter Friday December 10,2021 saying they canceled my daughter's appointment. . I changed my schedule around just to take her to this appointment and it doesn't make sense that they will cancel it and the reason they give in the letter isn't accurate. It says they called me on December 5,2021 to discuss the upcoming appointment. I wasn't contacted on December 5th to discuss her appointment, I was contacted on December 6,2021 from a staff member who said they have a cancelation and wanted to know if I was interested in coming in on December 6th. Also the letter states I have to confirm the appointment by December 10,2021 by 2:00 p.m but I didn't receive the letter until December 10th after 2 o clock. How can I confirm a appointment on December 10th if they send the letter late and I don't receive it until December 10th. I never had a appointment with a establishment that was cancel on me at the last minute nor have I been asked to contact them to confirm a appointment at the last minute and had a letter sent to me in the mail to tell me they canceled it. "People’s Place was recommended by my daughter’s mother during a 2018 custody hearing. She ask the court for this to be the location for pick up/drop off our daughter for my weekend custody visitation from Friday 6pm-Sunday 6pm.The custody order provisions was based on a false claim of abuse by my daughter’s mother. Her claim was later dismissed in court. From the beginning there were issues. The first visitation pick up/drop off couldn’t be scheduled at the State Service Center in Georgetown, De so we used Troop 4. People’s Place policies are boarder line institutional. Upon entering the building a security guard is at the door waiting. No phones, tablets, electronic devices etc. are allowed, personal belongs, baby bag are searched, no food or drinks, no talking to other parents about their custody situation. The biggest problem for me is the program management Stacey Wilmington in particular. The way she over steps her authority is unethical to say the least and need to be exposed. My daughter started this process when she was 4 months old. A few things about the protocol wasn’t conducive to her emotional growth and development so I would bring it to Stacey’s attention but to no avail. As a infant/toddler/now almost 4yrs old I asked that there was one person designated to transport my daughter from one end of the building to the next not different people every Friday and Sunday. If I’m teaching my daughter not to go with strangers this process undermines that. Stacey has lied, misinterpret court orders and she is the reason I was charge was interfering with custody which I was found not guilty. She was scheduled to testify but didn’t show up to court. I have a custody modification hearing in January but until then I’m forced to use People’s Place location. Since trial on October 14, 2021 Stacey has suspended and/or cancel my pick up on Friday 4 times most recently 11/19/2021. She’s also alerts my daughter’s mother not to drop my daughter off at the State Service Center as well. I have documented everything with Troop 4 in Georgetown, De. Even Officials don’t understand how she thinks she has the right to stop my parenting time with my daughter."
"Was unable to send a prescription to a pharmacy. I called several times from the pharmacy- at one point, I was told they were on hold with the pharmacist, when the pharmacist was right in front on me. I’m not sure if they called the wrong number or were “misinforming” me- but when I offered to get them the updated number, they declined, leading me to believe they were shading the truth. The pharmacy was 2 miles away, and I offered more than once to physically pick up the prescription and take it to them. After numerous calls, they suggested we just wait a few days. It sounds pretty callous to tell a mental health care patient to not take their meds."
