"A few months ago I would of recommended anyone here. Due to high workload and increasing demands I missed appointments. I did my best to keep these but that didn’t matter. This year alone, not only did I have a difficult pregnancy after miscarriage, I lost my grandma, great uncle, mother in law and father in law on top of numerous other challenges that many would more than struggle with. Rather than feeling support, I felt guilty if I couldn’t keep an appointment which is counterproductive to therapy. I felt zero empathy on my circumstances and it was like I had to justify exclusive pumping, working full time, caring for young children including one who’s school permanently closed due to Covid, etc… if an appointment was missed whilst working through their “treatment” plan. In the end, I am glad that we parted ways particularly when a bridge prescription was denied and the result of the practitioner not refilling the script could have been harmful. My primary care doctor had more compassion and got me in same day to reestablish medication when this center ignored, then denied the refill, etc. There was even an email saying a bridge prescription could be prescribed while I sought an alternative provider. That clearly was a joke. Objectively, I did learn a lot and it was beneficial but upon returning to work, the support level diminished and I’m speaking up (albeit some personal info is shared) because that’s when women need the most support not insensitive no show emails or texts from their pharmacy that their provider refused to refill the medication they put you on. I understand there’s an obligation to attend appointments as that could impact another seeking help but this was something else. Isn’t there a responsibility to make sure your patient has the medication they need as stopping cold turkey is ama? What about the baby I’m still feeding? After this, I will be writing the medical board. Other negatives include they can only see you for a certain period of time, so if you’re going through any significant trauma, good luck navigating alternative therapy through a pandemic after they can no longer see you. Establish care, open up, get cut off…sounds like fun right (insert sarcasm here). It also felt like being a Guinea pig trying a myriad of medicine and like something was wrong with me if it wasn’t working rather than a complicated pregnancy after loss, relationship issues, high stress in the workplace, returning back to work, pumping, multiple deaths in the family??? Some people do not have the luxury of stopping everything in life to go over what was wrong in their childhood. I am glad some women felt and or feel like they got the help they needed. I did in the beginning until I returned to work. While they may specialize in postpartum clients, it felt today that empathy, understanding, care, a client struggling all day with a horrible migraine and nausea, that that didn’t make the cut for support."
"Anne helped me through so many difficult issues in my life. She is kind, compassionate, funny and extremely supportive. I never would have been able to get through let alone enjoy my last pregnancy if it wasn't for her. Please do not feel ashamed to get the help you need and deserve from this group of amazing people!!"
