"Dr Ostrum was absolutely awful to me throughout my pregnancy. Cold, rude , uncaring. He stepped into the room briefly during one check up to tell me that my triple screen suggested possible Down syndrome. As I started to cry he said , you need to decide - the termination window is closing and left. The nurse came in to talk to me. During delivery he was clearly mad about it happening “after hours” and he made snarky comments about “if she could push right this would be done by now”. He might have the technical skills but he has an awful personality."

"There are good things about Dr. Ostrum. He is charming and he means well, however, his stubborn side gets in the way of considering alernative approaches to physical symptoms and he forgets things. I'm a Chemistry major and found a mistake in the Mitosis process in my Biology book in 8th grade, so I'm constantly researching physical issues. Dr. Ostrum argued with me about my suggestion that I needed a CT scan, due to lower flank pain. He wanted to perform a D&C due to my reaction of bleeding from to too much estrogen from a patch he had prescribed. I stopped the patch and the bleeding stopped. Pretty basic. It turned out that after a huge arguement to get the CT scan ordered, I had Diverticulitis. He told me in his office while prescribing a new alternative to the patch that I didnt need Progesterone with the Estrogen. That's simply not true. I have my uterus so Progesterone is taken with Estrogen to protect against cancer. Finally, a year later I reluctantly came back for an annual exam and he forgot to order blood work that I requested. When I had to return on my Birthday very unhappy to do that bloodwork, he and his office staff showed zero remorse or humble approach. I felt they should pay for the lab and should have offered. Clearly they are too busy to care. The office managers agenda was to defend their office at all cost."

"I have been one of Dr. Ostrum’s patients for about 20 years and I have found him to be the most concerned, competent, and responsive doctor who has treated me. He has performed surgeries for me and I felt completely at ease, knowing I was in his care. What I appreciate is that he looks into a woman’s overall health and has even sent me for cholesterol and thyroid lab work, along with thyroid ultrasounds. I would recommend him to anyone!"

"I have been a patient at this practice since for approximately 22 years. I began with Dr. Wisniewski, however during my pregnancy I also saw Dr. Ostrum. When Dr. Wisniewski retired I was happy for him but honestly I was a bit nervous to switch to Dr. Ostrum. I shouldn’t have been nervous. He is a great physician. He is friendly and professional. He listens to my concerns and it has been my experience that he doesn’t rush, unlike other physicians, out the door. I also appreciate him talking to me about my medical concerns. He doesn’t just jump in and state; this must be done or lets schedule this test etc., He talks to you about your medical condition, he suggests what tests would be best and once the results are available he talks to you about them and provides options on the best way to treat your condition. I also cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone, which includes the ladies at the front desk, the assistants, and the nurses and yes, even the billing department, is friendly and professional. They always make me feel welcome and when I present a question they are there to help. As you can tell I am very pleased with this practice."
