"Our business has been using Way Delivery for the last several months. Each courier that arrives has been prompt, professional and courteous with our staff. It has been a very seamless experience. I would highly recommend them for any courier needs."
"I am not sure if it was a one off or if they process the shipment like this on purpose, but here is my story: We ordered an item and we got informed that Way Delivery Services will take care of the shipment (3rd party shipping). I got a call from one of their employees and we were able to coordinate a time for receiving the item. I asked on that phone call if the truck has a liftgate and I was told the truck indeed has a liftgate. On the day of delivery I got a call from driver informing me of the exact time of delivery. I coordinated with him and I proceeded to ask if the truck he is driving has a liftgate. He answers the truck has a liftgate but they will charge us extra to "use it". I got the information about extra charge for "using the liftgate" 45 minutes before the arrival time of shipping. I got this information because I proactively asked for it when I was talking to the driver. Firstly, this is the first time I am hearing a shipping company charging extra for "using the liftgate". I have seen shipping companies charging for sending out a truck with liftgate. But this is the first time I am seeing a truck with liftgate was sent out but they refused to "use the liftgate" unless you pay extra. Secondly, they did not bother to communicate the extra charge for "using the liftgate". They did not mention it to me when we were coordinating the delivery at the first place. They also did not inform the original company (the company that hired them as their 3rd party shipping) of such a charge. It seems they were hoping to put us in a situation where we are forced to pay for a service by withholding information. I am specifically suspicious of them using this technique for milking customers because the driver informed us that if we fail to remove our item from his truck they will charge us extra for failing to remove the item. So it seems they process the shipping orders this way because they want more money and they are shy about asking for it upfront. Modification after response from company to my comment: As you can see the company claims: "We incur additional expenses to call residential customers because we want a smooth delivery. We do have a script that we use which includes a chat about a liftgate (when necessary) because most residential deliveries require one. They also typically require a pallet jack, navigating a driveway, and take up to 3 times longer than a business delivery which probably has a delivery dock, staff, and a tow motor." 1) You can clearly see they even charged us for calling us to set up the delivery because they "want a smooth delivery" 2) You can see that they have a script that they use for that phone call 3) You can see they are aware that delivery may require "pallet jack, navigating a driveway" but you do not see them recognizing a customer helping with bringing their own pallet jack, bringing their own lift truck, and navigating the driveway is doing them a favor. It is not like they are a shipping company and at least navigating the driveway is literally the job they are hired for. 4) You can see that they claim we are a residential delivery by mistake. The delivery was for University of Scranton. The driver was supposed to arrive at our location at 11:45am. The driver arrived there early, but we had our lift truck ready at 11:45am and we unloaded the truck under 3 minutes. I wonder how fast are those business deliveries who can unload the truck under 1 minute because as they claim residential deliveries "take up to 3 times longer than a business delivery" Way Delivery Services, I recommend working on your bs transcript instead of coming here typing bs about your former ducking life."
"Excellent place to work, the environment is amazing, everyone is extremely kind and helpful. Never have had any issues working here, the staff truly cares for their employees. 10/10 love working for Way Delivery"
"I work for one of the largest LTL shippers in the region. We ship a minimum of 2k shipments daily. We have used Way to handle our larger orders, 10+ pallets, and they have done an excellent job for the past 2+ years. Their customer service standards are as high or higher than my company requires. Great company and communication. A homerun for us."
"I paid $900 for shipping and the driver couldn’t be bothered with helping me move the crate inside. I’m 36 weeks pregnant and cut my hand open trying to move this thing out of the way. For $900 I expected the company to not only deliver but unpack and install."
