"I hired Boonswang to help appeal a claim on my father’s life insurance policy (which had lapsed a few months prior to his death due to extenuating circumstances, after decades of him never missing a payment). I wasn’t sure what to expect since I found Boonswang by searching online, but they were phenomenal. I really hadn’t expected to recover anything knowing how insurance companies work, but they reached a settlement on my behalf for 90% of the policy’s value—far exceeding my expectations. Specifically, I worked with Joe Mattia, who I can’t recommend highly enough for anyone in a dispute of this kind. He was perfectly responsive, providing updates along the way (these things are often extended over many months by the insurance company); he was clear and always happy to answer questions; he was willing to fight hard (he negotiated up twice on the settlement value), unwilling to rest until we reached the maximum number anyone could’ve expected from this situation. Joe was also a profoundly decent human being, which may sound like a “nice to have” rather than a “must have” in an attorney, but it actually counts for quite a lot in a stressful, high-stakes situation like this. I’m sure that people’s reviews for lawyers are primarily influenced by outcomes following from their specific situations (much of which is outside the lawyer’s control), and by a lawyer’s willingness to take on a case (which contingency-fee lawyers need to be a little selective about, understandably), so it’s hard to know what to think when vetting law firms. But I will say this: I contacted Boonswang with essentially no expectations (the life insurance policy in question *had* lapsed—that was the bottom line), and they not only took the case, but persisted for months and eventually reached a settlement that was almost the entire value of the policy. I would 100% pick Boonswang again, and specifically Joe Mattia."
"My husband passed 2 years ago. The insurance company would not review my accidental death and dismemberment until they had the proper documentation. For 2 years I fought trying to get the documents and failed. I tried to hire numerous of attorneys in my state and no one would take my case. I was blessed enough to come across their website and decided to give them a call. From that first encounter they gave me reassurance just by gathering all information and staying in contact with me every step of the way. It’s hard enough losing someone and all the hassle you have to endure so it was so refreshing for this law firm to lighten my load. From the bottom of my heart, I truly can’t thank you guys enough."
"I called them in reference reinstating a life insurance policy, and the lady says, “First of all, we don’t reinstate life insurance policies.” And hung up. Their website has a specific page dedicated to lapsed life insurance policies. Here is a cut and paste from the website: “But if you don’t believe you were at fault, contact us to find out your options. We can go through your options with you, including explaining the denial letter and its various terms; research what your rights and options are under the terms of the policy, state law, and whether or not the insurance company complied with relevant laws; prepare a legal brief to put the insurance company on notice that you’re appealing the denial; and, perhaps most importantly, have experience with what kinds of tactics the company might use to try and continue denying your claim. In addition, we have the resources to investigate how the insurance company communicated with the policyholder and if there are missteps on their part.”"
"Chad Boonswang, Michael Wentz, and all their supporting staff were very Professional, Top Notch, and expedient in resolving our Insurance Claim. They fought hard, won our case, and put the money our father wanted us to have, in our pocket. They are extremely seasoned and take no prisoners. I am so happy we hired them to represent our family. Thank you Chad, Michael, and staff!!!"
