"I highly suspect the 5 star reviews are fake. They keep you in the dark, hold internal meetings without your awareness and make decisions without your input or knowledge (only to learn about it at the next billing cycle) and are very, very difficult to get hold of. Almost all emails are met with out of office replies and no voicemails ever responded to. When a status hearing I did not know existed was extended by my attorney without my knowledge (only to learn this in the next billing cycle) and saw my attorney had answers to interrogatories for nearly a month without telling me only to discover this from OJS = you're fired. OJS literally laughed and smiled... like yeah good luck with that, seemed par for the course. Not to mention a strong, positive person for my case was not contacted three separate times my lawyer told me he would, only for him to say when I finally called him out that he didn't think he was important, is more than messed up, it's unethical = you're fired. Didn't trust me, and didn't even contact the person... so how would you know? That's just a small piece. I highly do not recommend this "law" firm."

"Very bad at returning calls and emails. Emailed and left several voicemails with a particular lawyer at the firm. Even if they did not handle what I needed, a call back to let me know that would be the professional and decent thing to do."

"Could not recommend them more! My lawyer, Leo Gibbons, was an absolute life savor. I specifically used MacElree Harvey for a commercial lease negotiation. It takes a certain skill to be able to break down legal terms in ways that the general public can understand and Leo was the best. The team had great communication and updated me every step of the way. I never doubted that they had my best interest in mind. I will 100% be using their services again in the future."

"The absolute worst. Lazy, sloppy, uneducated and uninformed at $300/hour. Oh and what they don't know (which is basically everything), they will have conference calls with other attorneys at their firm without the client and charge exorbitant rates for both attorneys. Felix, before you take another land use case, I suggest you figure out the difference between a spruce and an oak tree. And what about that retention basin that you couldn't identify when you were standing in it? I don't think you've been outside much, it's pretty evident when you walk. You're a mess. Do not waste a dollar of your hard-earned money with this disgusting firm. Further, don't waste a second of your time even calling this firm (cesspool of sleaze)."

"I leave this review in the hopes of saving others from the harrowing ordeal I experienced with the law offices of MacElree Harvey, Ltd. My brother and I retained the services of this firm to settle our mother’s estate in 2020. The process dragged on for 2 years while we were passed from lawyer to lawyer. These lawyers were unprofessional, unknowledgeable, and disorganized. Their negligence prolonged the process, leveraging disagreements over the estate to their own financial gain, while assets depreciated, repeatedly demonstrating their inability to expeditiously settle the estate. Our fees with MacElree Harvey went from the initial quote of $7,500 to nearly $30,000. On three occasions I had to seek outside legal council for clarity that these lawyers could not provide and to move the process along. MacElree Harvey, Ltd., lost vehicle titles, a ring, and an entire folder of paperwork which they blamed on the switching of lawyers and employees within their firm though we still paid the price for their numerous mistakes. Beyond the financial expense and time wasted, I believe the stress of this process contributed to a decline in my health and well being. I have waited three months to write this review, taking the time to reflect and ensure I wasn’t leaving a rash or unfair account of this experience. The settling of an estate under normal circumstances can be an emotionally trying ordeal but this law firm’s incompetence made this process unbearable."
