"If I could write a 4.5 I would. The nurses and staff of this hospital were amazing. They were patient and kind during an 8 day stay. I want to personally thank Brook(e), Miachi and Kiara. I can not remember the CNA’s name with Kiara, but she did a great job as well. I felt only one nurse, on one day, was not pleasant. would have given 4.5) because of the miscommunication with the doctor and rehab admission. The doctor told us one thing but did not communicate with rehab that led to a 2 delay in her release.It wasn’t until the end of the second day of waiting, we were told she was not accepted to PAM rehab in the hospital because she would be too weak to participate in their program. This delayed her transfer to another facility another day. The gentleman social worker came in on day two and worked very hard to explain what happened with PAM and the PT. It all came down to miscommunication between the doctors and staff and patient. Hopefully it will be resolved for others. With so many patients and different departments, I imagine it is very difficult to mesh them all together. In the end, everyone apologized, explained and all was well. I thank them for being open and honest. We all make mistakes and although frustrated, I understand things happen.The social worker worked very hard to get my mom transferred the very next morning. I thank him very much. And it was the best hospital food I’ve seen. It is also very affordable for those visiting all day. Thank you to everyone involved in my mom’s care. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone that needs care."
"AWESOME! First word that came to mind when I had my hand surgery in January with Dr. Andrew Parks! Everybody involved with my surgery was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. Super Impressed! This was my 6th hand surgery and first at Bayhealth and this one went well beyond my expectations! My wife constantly got updates while waiting in the cafeteria which is a great alternative to a waiting room or sitting in your car! Plus she told me the food was Great! I received 2 phone calls after I got home to see how I was doing. I just got my stitches out and the hand healed splendidly!!! I keep trying to find a fault but cannot! Thank You Bayhealth and please keep up the great work!"
"I had a very bad experience today. I was diagnosed with covid. They just sent me home even though I suffer from asthma and COPD. They refused to give me a prescription for an alternative treatment at home. They put me outside if I were an animal. They dont care want happen with their patients I tried to get another doctor for a second opinion and they REFUSED to send me another doctor. Advocacy department just support the coworkers they don't care the patients Isospotspadvodepartment and I could see that they support their co-workers. They don't really care their patients. I"
"Horrible place. I woke up in extreme pain in my back. It was so bad my blood pressure dropped and I was about to pass out. Doctor said it was heartburn. Wanted to give me something for my stomach. Now kicked out into the waiting room in my pjs and in pain. Nurses not pleasant. Never was offered water and I was freezing."
"By far the longest wait ever!!!! So after waiting patiently for 4hrs while people who were also there with non-emergent issues came in way after me and were seen and left as I’m still there waiting. So I as “where I’m at in the queue” and the secretary at the from desk and her guard dog behind her proceed to answer me in a nasty tone saying she would have to “ask the triage nurse” 30mins go by no word so I go ask about and update because by this time it’s been 5hrs. So they proceed to tell me a story about how they are “trying to get rooms open” mean while just five minutes before they were trying to call 2 other patients who got sick of waiting and left back. This place could be great if it weren’t for some of the rude miserable nasty staff who think they can talk to people however they want."
