Reviews of PM Pediatric Urgent Care
"I took my daughter Saturday with severe ear pain and a sore throat. I'm not sure if the man who came In to check my daughter was actually a doctor. He couldn't even get the otoscope to go into her ears. "Nothing is wrong". She continued to get worse over the next two days and now she has a massive ear infection and strep throat and is on an antibiotic. This kid suffered all weekend because of this so called doctor. Her pediatrician was appalled and said no medical professional should have missed this kids infections. Please, please do not go here! This was the second time this place misdiagnosed my daughter. It's a scary thought that this man is supposedly a medical doctor."
"We have been to this location several times, but our most recent experience with Dr. Cook exceeded all expectations. My child has special needs and Dr. Cook went above and beyond to help my child feel comfortable and safe. My child needed sutures on their face and Dr. Cook took the time to meet my child’s needs and provide outstanding care. He turned what would have otherwise been a traumatic experience into something heartwarming and memorable. Thank you for employing such an incredible doctor and for granting him the time to treat patients with such exemplary care."
"First, off my daughter had an abscess on her gums when we got there we waited about 45 minutes then we get called to the back and have to wait another 35 minutes. The nurse came in rushing ..she was not as friendly as she was to the other patients. after checking my daughter mouth she prescribed her amoxicillin And rushed us out of the room.. mind you she did not check To see if my daughter had a fever, she didn’t ask her pain level. She didn’t asked her anything when she came in. Looked at her gums and said oh it’s an abscess. I’m going to write your prescription for some antibiotics. left out, sent another nursing with ibuprofen .. get to the pharmacy she didn’t put the prescription in for the Motrin just the antibiotic the whole experience was terrible. The young ladies at the front was really nice but the nurses in the back not so friendly"
"The only positive I can say about this place is the fact you can fill out registration on your phone electronically. After that, completely down hill. This was my first ever & last ever visit. I'm not sure what the point of filling out information is if the front desk is going to call you up & ask you the same questions that you just filled out. When I said that I filled that all in on the registration (which they clearly had in front of them bc they then read the response to the question they just asked me). Then we wait 45 minutes to be called back, ok fine I can deal with that, but then we get into a room & a nurse takes some vitals & asks why I came in, so I explain that my son has had a fever, congestion, & cough for a few days & then starting this afternoon he complained his left ear hurt so wanted to make sure it was not an ear infection. I am told I have the option to have a remote “off-site” Dr look at pictures of the inside of my son’s ears & do a telemed type visit over an iPad. I agreed although did find it a strange practice, but she said it would probably save me about an hour of waiting to see the actual Dr that’s on site. Ok, so the nurse brings in an otoscope camera but the tip to look in the ear was much longer than the typical ones I’ve seen used at the pediatrician & my son had a hard time tolerating it. She could not get a good picture so she says we have to wait to see the actual Dr so he can check his ears. I agreed. Well, I wish I would’ve listened to my gut & left at that point but I didn’t & we continued to wait over an hour for the Dr to come see my son. He finally comes in & says my son looks great & happy & what could possibly be wrong with him…didn’t quite appreciate that considering we just patiently waited so long to even be seen only to be met with no empathy/concern...I tell him about my son’s symptoms & about how he had started complaining of ear pain today on top of everything else. So he says ok so you just want his ear checked? & proceeds to tell me that I can buy an otoscope on Amazon for $8 & next time I can just check his ears myself. He then proceeded to try to give me a lesson on how to look in his ear as my son is becoming increasingly uncomfortable bc he is keeping this thing in his ear for so long to the point where he starts to cry & is gagging bc of the congestion & this Dr is telling me to keep looking in his ear bc he really wants me to see what he’s talking about to look for, where at that point I just had to say yes, yes I see bc my poor son was so upset. I’m guessing he thought he was being helpful by trying to give me this “lesson” but I really did not find it appropriate. He didn’t even listen to his lungs, or check his throat or anything comprehensive whatsoever. Also, both of my children see Nemour’s specialists & when I see the name Nemour’s I trust it, but I am shocked they have their name affiliated with a place that does not hold up the same standard of care as I have come to know from my experiences with their speciality care. To be honest, I hardly ever feel compelled to write a review about anything but after what I experienced tonight, I would never return to or recommend this urgent care to anyone."
"I have a special needs toddler who has medical ptsd from an open heart surgery. He is TERRIFIED of doctors and will absolutely lose it the minute we enter the exam room. He has an ear infection and nasty cold, so I made an appointment here. I called while on my way to explain my situation, and I spoke to the office manager Nikki. She took the time to listen to me with compassion and understanding. She was so accommodating and helpful. She made sure that we didn't sit in the exam room waiting. She coordinated that when we got called in, the doctor walked right in the room with her immediately. Of course, my son lost it once we were in the room, but Nikki stayed along with the doctor and provided a fast , efficient exam. We were in and out, as fast as possible! They even made sure I had a hard copy of my son's prescription, along with calling it in, just in case they didn't have it in stock! I cried the drive home because I was so touched by the compassion and accommodations they provided! If only every pediatric office was like that! I 100% recommend them and would like to personally recognize Nikki. She went above and beyond for me and my son! I am so grateful and will be returning anytime we need to!!"
