"This park is a wonderful place to visit and walk the whole park from beginning to end. You have amazing views by the lake and places to sit down and relax near the water. There is a playground for the kids to enjoy and a swimming pool area as well during the summer. It's worth going to see and spending a few hours there."
"Marsh Creek State Park is a beautiful oasis in Chester County with its 1,705 acres of lush land and a 535-acre lake (73 feet at its deepest) stocked with fish. A fishing license is a must and there are numerous great spots to relax and wait for the fish to bite just a short walk from either the east or west launches. Other activities include 19.5 miles of hiking/biking trails (trails are marked); swimming in a pool (fee) perched on a hill and overlooking the lake; picnic tables and grills; boat launch to bring your own non-motor boat, kayak, etc.; boat rentals (fee) at Marsh Creek Water Sports (kayaks, paddleboards, Sunfish, Daysailer, Hobie Wave, windsurfing); snack bar; restrooms; birdwatching; hunting areas during hunting seasons; and neighboring riding (fee) at Hope Springs Farm (need reservations) where a guide will lead a group through the park trails. Park hours 8:00 am until sunset at the east launch entrance. All other access open 24 hours at the west launch side. Special events such as group kayaking during a full moon. Marsh Creek Sailing Club sails on the lake. Other groups host hikes or paddleboard lessons. Parking available for boat trailers at both east and west launches. Horse trailer parking available at west launch. Parking can fill up on days with beautiful weather. Parking available at all four park entrances."
"Amazing experience at this beautiful park. They have kayaks and different types of boats to rent. Not an ideal place to bring ones in wheelchairs due to limited access ramps and the steep and rocky non-paved parking areas. Unbeknownst to new locals or tourists and guests there are picnic areas with built in charcoal grills and a medium size water park located on the grounds as well. Amazing views and generally friendly outdoor enthusiasts"
"Beautiful place for water sports. Clean lake with many spots to picnic and swim. Large lake is stocked with fish but safe for swimming as well. Definitely recommend checking the pool out as well."
"This is a beautiful park. Feels isolated yet family friendly. Kids and adults both will enjoy the lake. From small beach like shore for kiddos to boating for adults. It’s great you can rent small quiet motor boats, kayaks, paddle boat, and small sail boat. Great for picnics and family/friends get together with grills. There is also a public pool with a small fee. Overall you can have a relaxing day here."
