"Absolutely horrible. No swimming signs everywhere. Why would there be a beach if swimming is prohibited? Used to be able to swim freely in the summer. Now you might get a ticket and summons. First offense misdemeanor, second offense felony. Disgraceful. There's nowhere to cool off on a hot day. There's no swim at own risk areas? What a shame. Despicable. Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Not even half."
"Gorgeous., thank god they banned the pesticide that decimated the US population and in NJ … there was 1 reported pair when I was born in 78 now as of 2022 there are over 250 pairs !!! A good amount in the Salem area .:/ happy exploring."
"Nice spot to pull over and have lunch. Good amount of parking spaces. Multiple Garbage cans in parking lot. Nice calming view. Parking lot seemed well maintained and clear of trash/broken glass. Please clean up after yourself if you visit :)"
"There used to be swimming allowed. Now there’s no swimming in some parts. I know years ago, Union lake was drained due to being contaminated with arsenic. Since then, the water was put back and there was talk of allowing swimming again in 2002. We’re in 2022 and I have yet to see a life guard or swimming at the Union lake beach off of sharp street. As a matter of fact, there are no swimming signs all over. Also, There’s a dog park that was created in 2021, but it’s always locked. I don’t know why there’s a dog park if it is not being utilized. I would love to take my dog there and let him play."
"Nice place to sit and watch the ducks and geese on the water. You can see the dam from the spot and fishing and boating there. This place has history and once had a theme park in the late 1900's. You would never know it unless you research the history of Millville."
