Reviews of Town Fair Tire
"Bought a new pair of tires, a week went by and turns out one of the tires was defective. Mike was exceptional with his professionalism. He helped me out and got me going once again. Thank you Mike."
"My experience with this establishment has been fantastic. Here’s a little back story. I had a bad experience with a prior shop. I felt shunned as they disregarded my documented letter of caution from another trusted shop in which they advised me to get my tires checked again and fixed as soon as possible. The first tire shop I went to knew I had just purchased my car and asked me to bring this ordeal up with them, the dealership, as my car was and should still be under their warranty and I shouldn’t have to pay out of pocket for unsafe tires. My car was deemed a hazard to itself and me. I went to another shop, the one I felt shunned by, day after receiving this news. I was trying to get my car fixed as soon as possible and my dealership told me to deal with them. long story short they made me feel like I was crazy for my skepticism, they did not do an actually inspection on my car and my letter of caution for my faulty tires was overlooked. I left feeling frustrated so I searched for another tire shop to help me out. My day turned around the second I stepped into the Southington Town Fair Tire Shop. They greeted me well, asked for my concerns, actually read my letter of caution and then proceeded to do a full tire inspection and double verified that my tires were in faulty shape. From there they took care of me diligently. I can’t thank Mike enough for his thorough investigation, patience and even his assistance when calling the dealership I just purchased the car from and ensuring to them that my vehicles tires were not up to par. I was fully serviced, respected, and left with a great deal of confidence and comfort in my new car with its new tires. I can’t thank this shop enough!"
"I walked into the shop today for a nail repair, on the day of an expected storm. Jennifer greeted me at the desk and though they were fully booked she squeezed me in. The shop was extremely busy, but they were able to get me in and out smoothly. Thank you Jennifer for getting me in today, I appreciate the great service!"
"Jennifer is the manager who I dealt with, while making my purchase. When I decided on my purchase she asked about my usage, I told her I tow my boat several times a week and she took the sale to the next level by suggesting an alternative tire more suitable for the amount of towing. I went with her suggestion and the bonus it was a less expensive tire. Thanks Jen."
"TL;DR the techs work fast, but they do not care at all for details or give common courtesy as technicians/mechanics which to me shows lack of ethic/pride in one's work. I have taken my vehicle back already for a rebalance, and to fix the alignment. I ended up having to retorque my wheels, which were 30lbs off from the Manufacturers requirement. I asked twice to have the old adhesive removed from my rims, the second time, the tech wiped one, left a mess and scratched my rim pretty bad. And didn't bother with the others after telling me they would. It's not a big deal, but if you agree to do something that's a general common courtesy in your trade, you do it. After dropping $1k for a new set, I'd expect less small inconveniences. I brought my vehicle to an actual mechanic and had my wheel rebalanced and alignment fixed, and what do you know, they were smart enouvh to use WD40 to remove Automotive Adhesive like it was invented for. I'll be taking the invoice to get some money back."
