"Beware of fraudulent billing practices! They make you pay upfront and when you overpay, they do not reimburse you! I have been trying to get reimbursed $400+ since last year. When I inquired about the overpayment of $278.44 from my service on 8/24/22, I also found out that I had overpaid in 2021 AND 2019! I have spoken to them at least 4 times and each time, they say a check is coming and I need to wait 6 weeks. After I spoke to them in March 2023, they had the audacity to send me an invoice for $385.54 instead of the reimbursement I was expecting! Unbelievable! If & when I get reimbursed, I will consider removing and/or updating this review. Needless to say, I will get my imaging elsewhere from now on and you should consider that as well."

"I willingly drive 1.5 hours to get here every year for my mammogram. I am a self pay patient (pay out of pocket) and all of the facilities that are closer to me charge between$500-$700 (because they are hospital affiliated) which is their "discounted " rate for paying cash at time of service. Akumin is THE best independent imaging facility. I literally pay a very small fraction of what it would cost me to go anywhere else even after you figure in what I pay for gas to get to and from. The staff is amazingly kind, efficient, knowledgeable and professional. I'm usually in and out in less than 30 minutes. I simply could not ask for better service and will continue to use Akumin for any imaging that I need."

"Was there for MRI with contrast today Tech couldn’t get IV in my right arm. Tried left. No better. She called in another young male tech who was able to get it in. 3 attempts. I was very shaken up for the duration of the test. Painful and now I am bruised on both arms. I asked for her to just do the MRI without the contrast but she wouldn’t. Was there a total of an hour and 45 minutes. This was my third appointment at this facility in 3 weeks as they kept canceling and changing my appointment. I then had to change my subsequent specialist appointment as I needed the MRI first. This was a disaster from start to finish. The one star is for Matt. Had he not come in and inserted the IV, I would have walked out. This use to be a great place. My go to for all scanning. Manager or owner needs to see what is going on in there and work It out. Desk staff very nice."
