"It's always a peaceful relaxing time."
"My husband, son and I went fishing this morning. The weather was great, and this is a great fishing spot. Not crowded and those who were there were so nice! Caught (and released) more fish then I expected. Such a nice morning!!"
"My wife and I with a couple of friends always take a motorcycle ride on warm sunny days and sometimes we cruise to Phillips landing just to check out the boats and people fishing! I also use the boat ramps to launch my boat when the water warms up for a weekend of water skiing and fun! It's a great stop to stretch the winter legs after the first long motorcycle ride! We take this route and use the boat ramps throughout the summer and fall until the winter when the water and air is too cold to be outside!"
"This is a boat launch but is one of the stops on the captain John smith trail. There is also a geocache here but PLEASE bring bug spray. I did not make it to the cache. Good stop for a picnic too!"
"No bathrooms or garage cans around to have picnics, but if you can handle it, you will be just fine. Park is very clean, there's a boat ramp, the boats go in and out accessible, picnic tables are around. There is history here. Enjoy, there are trails to go on."
