Reviews
"Had work done before the pandemic and forgot to review until we just recommended Kitchen Fancy to neighbors. Chris and Brian oversaw the installation of COREtec floors, quartz countertops, sinks and faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms and redid two closets to enable outside dryer venting. We couldn't be happier with the result. Great people, skilled contractors."
"I was beyond impressed with Brian's service. He helped me create a beautiful kitchen, with quality Countertops and Tile. All Installers were professional and timely. He referred a fantastic plumber to me and I was able to finish ahead of schedule. I highly recommend Brian and Kitchen Fancy to anyone needing this service. Two weeks total from first initial phone call to installation and completion."
"From start to finish it was a pleasure working with this company, Lindsey was especially helpful from the beginning and actually stopped by when the installers were putting in the countertops. Very professional and a pleasurable experience, just an overall great job."
"First of all, having renovations done to a rental unit when you live four hours away is difficult and stressful. Additionally, I struggled with the rating in stars. The three stars do not reflect adequately the review. There were some experiences during the renovations that were 5 star experiences and other experiences that were 2 star experiences. The company was very prompt in visiting the site and getting a proposal to us. A few things we were told at the initial visit suggested it was all part of their services- weren’t in the actual contract which caused some problems during the renovations- mostly on the electrical end of things. Read your contract carefully. Ask questions. They did work with us until the contract met all of our wants within a particular budget. (our property is a rental unit and we did not want to put a fortune into the renovations.) The kitchen refacing of cupboards, countertop installation and hardware went well. It’s a definite improvement. Refacing is done using a poplar wood. Time will tell how well they hold up. I have some concerns as the doors just don’t seem heavy enough to prevent warping and the paint doesn’t have a sheen that I thought they would have, but so far so good. They wipe up nicely and the kitchen looks bright and cheerful. We were surprised that the refacing didn’t include refacing/painting under the cabinets. Read your contract carefully. To their credit, the painter, Chris, came back and did this at no extra charge. He was very nice to work with as was, Jimmy, another sub contractor. We also had a bathroom renovated going from a tub shower combination to a walk-in shower. The bathroom looks great. Tile installation was excellent as well as the finished product. They allowed us to choose our tile from Home Depot which saved us a great deal in cost. Sadly, there is almost a full box left over that we paid for and have no use for. Wish they could have somehow taken it back and tried to redeem some of that money spent. However, the bathroom renovations made a huge improvement! It all came together when finally finished. Wendy, the contact person, worked with us throughout all renovations. She took many phone calls, sent us pictures, and really tried her best to keep the renovations on a schedule, answer any questions, and correct any concerns. Issues: people often ran late or things didn’t get done as planned due to employee shortages. I’m not sure this was avoidable considering the pandemic. The electricians, in our opinion, did not communicate well with us and it resulted in us having to hire another electrician to fix an exhaust fan issue. We could not get them back to look at this. Some little things- caulking was missed around the shower(they came and fixed this immediately), a vanity door that was refaced wasn’t aligned (they fixed this). They were thorough in painting the bathroom walls, ceilings, installing the Coretec flooring, and sticking to the budget and helping us choose the right products for our budget. Overall, it was a good experience and we are pleased with the final product."
"Wish I could give zero stars. This is the worst business I've tried to work with in years. I have redone many kitchens, having owned 8 personal properties and 21 rental units. There is a total lack of communication and customer service. After booking an appointment for a salesperson to come to the house for the initial consultation, something not necessary in any kitchens we've ever installed, my husband and I called 4 more times, speaking to two different people, to ask/remind Brian to bring white samples with him. We were getting the impression that he was not listening and would show up without them. On the scheduled day, someone new showed up WITH NO SAMPLES! I told her there was no point in meeting, and we rescheduled. After meeting, she sent an email that we could not do the plan as originally hoped because of an issue with an overhang. I replied back, asking if we could set up a phone call with the fabricator to discuss options. I never heard back. 10 days later, I called her cell to find she'd left the company after only a few weeks working there, a shame because she may have been the only real professional they had. She obviously contacted them right away because I finally got an email back from Brian, asking if I had questions. I forwarded my original email and received a response back from Brian with missing words, misspelling, and little punctuation. He suggested meeting in person at the house again. I replied, asking if we could instead have a call with the fabricator, as asked in the original email, to discuss options for the overhang. He called almost immediately and said he really needed to go to the house again because he didn't have any of the information about our kitchen anymore, despite our original rep telling me she'd left all of her customer files at the office. During the call, Brian spoke over the top of me, wouldn't listen so responded to partial sentences, and ended up yelling. Brian is unprofessional and should find a job that doesn't include customer contact. There are several other kitchen companies in the area. Take it from this seasoned remodeler-go to ANYONE else."
