"*UPDATE* I have been eating here many times, and Iately I have noticed an inconsistency in their food quality a few times on a take-out order. So, I'm taking a star away from the rating. The food is not always prepared the same way, and sometimes their pork is very dry and burnt. Also, the portion is not generous compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The best Vietnamese food I tried in the area. I ordered a spicy lemongrass soup and beef combo pho, and they were spot on. The broth was deep, and the food was delicious! Very happy I found this place. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. The only thing is the noodles were on the soft side. Regardless, I will be back to eat what I had again or try other dishes on the menu."
"Fantastic small Vietnamese restaurant, with great food, even better service and ok seating. For a small location, they made good use of their limited space and they communicate regularly if the food will be delayed. My only small complaint would be probably due to the kitchen being so close and the ventilation not being great, our clothes had the food smell afterwards but I won't take a star off since it wasn't too bad. I know their prices will go up eventually but their current price for their food quality is hard to beat."
"We dined at Saigon Bistro tonight, the most dish impressed us immensely was shaken Cubed-Steak, the steak was tender and had a remarkably smooth texture. We felt a bit chilly when we just came in, and one of the staff members promptly noticed our discomfort. She kindly offered us hot tea, a gesture that significantly improved our dining experience. Throughout our meal, she was attentive, frequently refilling our hot water and ensuring all our needs were met with a warm and friendly approach. Overall, Saigon Bistro is a highly recommendable restaurant for anyone seeking a cozy and satisfying Vietnamese dining experience. The availability of parking spaces right at the entrance is an added convenience, although these are limited."
"I pre-ordered for pick up for a Friday at 1. I’ve ordered from their Jersey City Heights location before and really liked. This location had lunch combos though, so that was nice. Combos come with a choice of four entrees + 1 side (pick from pho broth or a pair of spring rolls) + a drink (regular can of soda but you can pay an extra $1 for Thai iced tea or extra $1.50 for Vietnamese iced coffee). We ended up doing one of each of the entrees. We had the pho, pork chops over rice, chicken with vermicelli, and a banh mi. The pho hit the spot on a cold and rainy day. Spring rolls tasted a bit over-fried but at least they used rice paper, instead of the frozen spring roll wrappers. Everything else was fine but it’s probably because it was cold by the time I drove home. I wouldn’t mind going back again if I was in the area and trying dine in. But I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to do so."
"My new fav spot. Cozy clean small store has about 6 tables, well loved by locals (there were 2 families of 4, 1 family of 6 dining when I visited) Ordered the spicy lemongrass pho, wanted to try something different than the traditional pho but I can’t really do too spicy. Asked to make it mild and they kindly adjusted it to my liking! The broth is clean tasting but still rich, onion and holy basil was fresh. The beef and meatball was tender but I wished it was not fully cooked so I can control how well done is the meat but I understand not all pho places will serve “pink” meat. Thai ice tea was perfect too, creamy tasty not super sweet. Highly recommend!!"
