We shared GC responsibilities - we handled the demolition, rough construction, electrical, plumbing, and flooring while J Thom focused on design, cabinetry, countertops and backsplash. Overall, we had a great experience. Courtney (the J Thom designer) was able to understand our needs and challenges and help craft a functional kitchen that exceeded our expectations. "My wife and I swore that we would never buy a “fixer-upper”. And then we found a house with the perfect yard, perfect location, and a need for some serious love. After “living with it” for about two years, we couldn’t live with it anymore. Through a mutual friend, we reached out to J Thom, and that’s where our relationship with Jason and Courtney began. "We collaborated with Jenn from J.THOM during our renovation and we were able to transform our newly purchased house into our dream home! "As we set out on a gut renovation of our new home, we completely rearranged the layout, which included moving our kitchen to the opposite side to take advantage of water views. The footprint of the new kitchen area presented several challenges. Enter J.THOM. In our first design meeting, they presented three layouts, all of which solved the problems we were facing with the space.
