Reviews of Swift Pools
"DO NOT contract with Swift pools. Do your research. There are many customers who signed contracts in 2020 (including me), denied refunds for almost 3 years, then told we need to pay 45% more. They will not honor your contract if their costs go up but will hold you captive for almost 3 years. I have never seen a company clearly not care about their customers."
"DO NOT contract a pool with Swift Pools. Were held to a signed contract for 952 days until Swift Pools canceled due to lower profits for them. Signed a pool CONTRACT in Sept 2020. On May 5th 2021 (245 days later) we received concerning updates from Swift on progress of pools ahead of us and asked to cancel for full refund. 5 weeks later, per their lawyers, we were told NO we could not cancel as we have a signed contract. Over the next 707 days (952 days in total) there were 80+ update emails exchanged with a few additional requests for cancelation with refund or to sell our contract – all were no. It was clear Swift was holding us to the contract. On March 30, 2023 (939 days since signature) we received a form letter from Swift saying our CONTRACTED price will be going up 40-45% due to increased costs. We strongly questioned this as we were held to our end of the contract for 939 days and they need to adhere to theirs. On April 12th we receive a contract cancelation email from Swift with refund. Ask yourself this – do you want to do business with Swift Pools that holds you captive to a contract for 952 days when it benefits them and then cancels as soon as their profits lower? We could have contracted with another pool company back in May 2021 and here we are April 2023 with no options. Beware!"
"The owners were very unprofessional, non-comnunicative and kept giving excuses for the delay in installing my liner. After waiting 6 months, the liner was never installed and I was left was finding a new vendor, needless to say a refund of my deposit was required!"
"I just bought my house with a pool and so far they have been very helpful. Especially the two guys who come out for Maintenance. They actually took the time to explain everything to me and go out of their way to help. Highly recommend if you need any repairs. -Justin"
"I am hesitant to post a completely negative review, as we purchased our home with a Swift pool built in 2005/2006. I can say it is in a better condition than others we have seen. Also, their retail store has all of the parts, accessories and highest quality of chemicals. Unfortunately, this is where my positive experience ends... Most recently, I voluntarily called to request my 15 year old pump be replaced with a more energy efficient unit. After lengthy discussions about the pump best suited for the application, I provided the deposit and remained on the schedule. Day of installation, it was approaching 6pm and no one had showed. I called the store and was told “the techs work until dark” and was nearly hung up on. End result was no call, no show. While I am a very understanding person of priority issues that need to supersede an elective request, I had to reflect on the issues experienced in the 3 seasons with the pool. When we bought the house, the pool was opened so I have only been through 2 openings and 3 closings. Last season, I found the filter to not be cleaning as well as the previous year. After the crew closed the pool, I opened the filter housing and found the entire filter assembly to be caked in DE and the filter housing still partially filled with water. I also noticed a leak at my heater during the season last year. This was not noted on my closing paperwork at the end of the season. When the crew showed to open the pool this year, I told them about the leak. It never made the paperwork. During the first backwash of the year, I noticed the chlorinatior was also leaking and the drain plug at the filter leaking. Neither were corrected or noted during the opening. Further, I found a cigarette butt by the filter from the opening crew. During last year’s opening, the crew did a very thorough job, also noting that the filter drain plug was leaking. They replaced the drain plug and also noticed the booster pump lines were in poor condition. They repaired those lines, but didn’t ask me about the repair. The booster pump was used for a cleaner that is no longer used, so those repairs were all done without permission and for no reason. The money charged would have been better spent on removing the pump. I detailed these issues over the past 2 years and have dealt with a very responsive employee, Matt. When Matt wasn’t available to discuss the no call, no show issue, Ethan provided further guidance about the pump and was notified of the issues. Ultimately, I was offered to make an appointment to repair the leak and, thankfully, the restocking fee waived for cancelling the pump installation after the tech didn’t show for the appointment. Again, the pool has held up well over the 15 years in operation, so they obviously build a good quality pool. I provide my experience to only help others consider service options if things go awry. Overall a great retail location, Matt is great to deal with and hopefully you all have better experiences than I have."
