"The rental process was super easy, all done via phone and email. Check in was fast and our unit was even ready well before 4:00 check in time. The unit was very clean and nicely furnished. Would definitely rent from Don Martin Realty in the future!"
"We stayed at 207 E Nashville the last week of August. Our rental was VERY dirty. There were stains on the mattress covers and the pillows with no pillow protectors. I found dirt that I scraped off of the bedspreads with my nail. The floors were also VERY dirty. They left our feet were black when we walked through the unit. There was dirt and old socks found under all of the furniture. There was also trash in the yard along the path going to the back yard that was there all week and never cleaned up. The house slept 6 people and there was one hook for a towel in the bathroom. I attempted to hang my towel over the shower curtain rod, but it was rusty so my towel then had rust on it. The baskets in the bathroom on the shelves were disgusting. They had dirt and debris/trash in them along with some sort of oil or liquid spilled in them. Some of the hangers in our closet were sticky and had hair and dirt stuck to them. There was also mold, possibly black mold, along the gasket of the freezer door, and some on the fridge door, in the kitchen. Neither of the bottom locks on either of the doors worked. When we were going to the beach the second day we were there, the owner, who was staying downstairs, asked if the fire marshall could come into our unit to service the fire extinguisher. I did not think it was appropriate to have anyone outside of your rental company come into the unit while we were renting it as all of our personal belongings were there. However, I said yes as I was asked on the spot and felt uncomfortable and so I had to send my husband back up to our unit to remove our valuable personal belongings, wallets, etc. and then when we came back to the unit later, it was not served anyway and was out of date by the end of the week. I also was not happy with the lack of communication. In the rental agreement, it states that linens are not provided, but there is nothing noted about nothing else being provided such as soap, paper towels, trash bags, a bath mat, etc. I was only informed of this days before we left for our vacation. Also, in the photos of the rental, it shows a bath mat and soap in the bathroom. When I called to inquire about this once we arrived, we were told this was not provided even though it was in the photo. Finally, after we were there for about half of our stay, I logged into our credit card and saw a pending $500 charge from the company. I spent our evening panicking as I was uncertain of what this was and reviewed all of the documentation sent to me including the rental agreement and policy and it says NOTHING about there being a $500 security deposit. I called first thing the next morning as it was explained to me that this was just a security deposit. I understand that most places have a security deposit and I think that's completely reasonable. However, this was NOT communicated to me and is nowhere in the rental agreement and therefore caused me to panic when I saw the charge on my card mid-week. I am often not one to complain or leave bad reviews, but upon leaving I received an email asking to leave a review and email them with any feedback. I sent them an email detailing everything above and never heard back so a week later I reached out to follow up and still no response. I will NEVER rent from them again."
"The actual home was very nice, cozy, and a good location. However, the cleaning was terrible. I found multiple fake eyelashes laying in very obvious places throughout the house, the floors were filthy, my feet were black after a few minutes with no shoes. Crumbs and dirt all over the kitchen counter, bathtub and windowsills. Sticky residue on side tables and dressers in the rooms. We spent the first 3 hours, upon arrival, cleaning so we felt better, this was not what we expected for our vacation. I'd ask for a refund of some sort but likely won't get it. If this is the type of cleaning firm Don Martin realty hires to handle vacation rentals, I'd highly recommend they look for other cleaning services as I'd not go back simply because of it."
"221 E. Popular was a lovely home to rent. Quite spacious for our family of 19. The 5 bedrooms were comfortably and roomy. Plenty of family room space for evening gatherings whether when sharing a meal or playing cards. The outdoor decks were throughly enjoyed for morning coffee or unwinding in the evening. The back yard had plenty of room for our nightly corn hole games. The owners were very thoughtful with all the provisions they made available. It was just a short few blocks to the boardwalk and beach. We really enjoy our stay there. We had a wonderful week ..would love to return another time. Thank you. Chris & Tom M."
"We had a very nice stay! Even despite the rain, highly recommend. Thank you!"
