"I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Hicksville branch of Shah's. While ordering my combo over rice, I noticed they initially added a minuscule amount of chickpeas. When I asked for more, they informed me it would cost an extra dollar. I reluctantly agreed, but to my sheer disbelief, they only added just a few more chickpeas. It's mind-boggling; I paid an extra dollar for what felt like a joke. I was left absolutely stunned and didn't voice my frustration at the time, but this is nothing short of abysmal customer service. Beware, especially of the man with the long white beard who prepared my combo over rice. He exhibited unwelcoming behavior. Maybe this white-bearded gentleman is the rude one; I can't speak for the others. This entire experience has left me shocked. I used to be a loyal customer of Shah's in Melville, where the service was consistently exceptional. This stark contrast at the Hicksville branch is truly disappointing."

The prices have increased a lot from when I first started coming here but this is my favorite chicken over rice place and always bring every one here who’s visiting NY and they all LOVE IT.
