"My husband's family has been using them for years and we just used them on our own for our honeymoon and wasn't disappointed. So polite and willing to help. Recently I inquired about a specific house and the person responding went above and beyond!"

"Sailor Moon Chincoteague, Va Island Getaway rental company was great. Unfortunately, the wood floors in the house at Sailor Moon in areas are spongy and my son fell through the floor, Yep, that’s right, he fell through the floor. I tried putting a picture of the large hole in the floor but you can’t add pictures. We were compensated with a different house and half of our deposit. THE FLOORS NEED REPLACED, it’s totally ridiculous that such a situation even occurred."

"We stayed at the "Driftwood" house via Air B&B. The house itself was very nice and homie. Decent size kitchen, three bedrooms with four beds between them. When we arrived on the island, pick up was easy from their office. Getting to the house was quick and we were pleasantly surprised by a gift by their service for us. It was the first Misty book, which was perfect timing as my wife and mother in law were talking about how they would like to reread the book again (which they both did during our stay). The house was orderly, the staff was responsive on the app when we had questions and there were pretty clear instructions for everything. We enjoyed our stay here a lot."

"Let me start out by saying we’ve rented from this company personally once before and didn’t have too many issues. My family has rented from them quite a few times and their experience was always great. I can vouch for this as well because we came and stayed with them while they were renting. Last year, the check in/out process went smoothly. It stated on the rental home description that there was a sofa bed, but when we arrived there wasn’t one. We called and made them aware and they gave us an air mattress for my son to sleep on for a week. The house was clean but things like toilet paper holders and towel racks were loose and ready to fall off the walls. This year, we got our keys at 3:30 as promised but when we arrived to the townhouse around 4:00 the door was open and there were still people inside cleaning. We had to wait 15-20 minutes outside in the car for them to finish up and leave. We started carrying our luggage inside and up the stairs from the garage (it was a 3 story townhouse) to the first door that entered the townhouse. The people that cleaned had accidentally locked the door from the inside and shut the door so we couldn’t get in and you couldn’t use the house key to unlock it. We called and they informed us someone would be driving back and would let us in, apologized, and stated this had actually happened a few times before. After about 20-30 minutes, nobody had shown up and we had to use a paper clip to essentially break into the house. We thought nothing else could go wrong but when we took our things to the 3rd story bedroom, the duvet that was spread over the bed was warm and soaking wet and left the mattress pad underneath very damp. We called again to make them aware and all they said was that they had put it in the dryer so they weren’t sure how that could have happened. The house was clean and had been recently updated but the pillows available for use were old and stained. I’m disappointed with how things turned out and unfortunately, we will be looking to use a different rental company next year when we vacation in Chincoteague."

"My elderly parents rented the SIALANG property for a family gathering. First time renters they had not looked at other reviews of this property or rental company. As the children and grand-children arrived, we discovered numerous problems with the property and unfortunately could not just up and move to another large, waterfront house on Chincoteague. I wish we could have! The many problems we had to deal with were the broken out window, boarded up outside and plastic sheeting inside that the wind blew through. There was broken glass in the grass underneath the window which we were not told about. The shower in the master bedroom barely drained forcing my parents to use the hall bathroom shower. The mattress in the pull-out sofa bed was so thin and old as to be totally unusable. One table had a broken leg and two chairs had broken legs. The appliances looked like yard-sale goods from the '80's with the bottom of the freezer drawer cracked through in two places. My complaint to the manager "Sherry" on behalf of my parents only got us a "Sorry, but the window is on order and you should have told us earlier and we would have fixed these problems". Like they were going to come out, do all these repairs, and replace the furniture and appliances over the weekend while we were there! I have rented beach properties all up and down the East Coast many times and this is by far the worst property, for the money, we have ever stayed in. "Sherry" told me they inspect the properties before renting them. Either she was not being honest with me or their standards are so low that they should be embarrassed. We will never use this rental company again and would urge others to avoid them as well."
