Reviews of Suraya Restaurant
"Suraya lives up to its reputation, 100%. The service and presentation were impeccable. The longer it took them to describe each dish merely drove my desire to consume it immediately. My only feedback is to hold back on the salt ever-so-slightly. The food is so delicious, it doesn’t need salt to impress me. I’ll definitely return. Our server was very informative and was sure to tell us about their lunch service."
"This place is pricey, but the quality shows why. You get all the starters with pita. All were super fresh and delicious! Also pictured is the chicken option and Chai tea. FYI if you want to bring outside dessert, it's $6/per person. Definitely recommend this place!"
"To begin, I am a man of few luxuries but this place is just that. What a fine and enjoyable experience we had dining at Suraya—in my opinion they fall outside of the 5 star categories because it was just that good. The service was impeccable from the time we arrived with options for drinks and food very thoroughly explained. The libations were quite tasty and well prepared. The food was truly an amazing experience. We began with the small plates of which we tried the different dips and salads, each with great flavor profiles yet very simple. The pita was cooked fresh and perfectly accompanied the appetizers. We then received our main courses and I think the lamb I chose was the best dish I have ever consumed. The meat was cooked to perfection with so much flavor. The pomegranate and dill yogurt sides added to the wonderful experience of the dish. I also tried the beef kebab and chicken which were delightful as well. We finished with some tasty deserts and Arak—I suggest this after your meal as it rounded out the experience perfectly. I really enjoyed this meal and can’t wait to go back."
"I was visiting Philadelphia and met a friend from town who recommended this Lebanese restaurant for lunch. From outside you would never imagine how beautiful the interior is. The decor and style is truly amazing. They have a beautiful patio in the rear i was told is opened for dinner. Our server was friendly and helpful. I ordered a chicken wrap which was delicious. My friend ordered a Flatbread with an egg on top and he loved it. The restaurant also has a separate Cafe where you can order pastries and coffee. The prices were very reasonable. Overall, quite outstanding."
"Good quality food. Would recommend trying the brunch tasting menu in a group. The different kinds of hummus was well balanced in the different types of flavors. Pastry basket had a variety of flavors and was worth the price. Each entree was relatively delicious as well. The branzino was well salted and had a crispy exterior. The lamb kebab tasted like ground beef/meat, while the chicken kebab was somewhat dry. Both met expectations for what I would expect from kebabs."
