The College School

The College School, located at 459 Wyoming Road in Newark, Delaware, is a primary school offering a unique and engaging curriculum for students in grades 1 through 8. Situated on the University of Delaware Children’s Campus, The College School provides a supportive environment for all students, including those with mild learning challenges, to promote confidence, discovery, and self-advocacy.

Our mission is to empower children with learning differences and help them reach their true potential. We tailor instruction based on the needs of each student, partnering closely with School Psychology in the School of Education for interventions, counseling, and evaluations. At The College School, students learn differently in an environment that emphasizes self-advocacy and confidence.

As part of the University of Delaware, our students benefit from progressive methods and instruction from professional and clinical faculty members. They interact with teacher candidates, undergraduate and graduate students, and researchers who are dedicated to enhancing the educational environment for children with learning differences. We collaborate across the University to provide a rich and enriching experience for our students.
