"We had a great time today the crew was amazing and very knowledgeable Darwin was very enthusiastic and you can truly tell the love he has for his job! This is a great experience for anyone of any age!!"
"10/10 this summers Bay Discovery camp for our kids was ABOVE & BEYOND! Totally exceeding our expectations. The counselors were engaging, fun, enthusiastic and well educated about the Chesapeake. Will be back next year for sure!"
"Nice stuff with great educational experience and hands-on learning. I really like how they're trying to make an impact on the Chesapeake Bay and showing kids how they can achieve that. Not to mention that there are summer camps that are amazing with the kayaking and going on the actual Sultana ship. To summarize it's a really good nonprofit"
"A beautiful building with knowledgeable staff. The structure pays homage to its historic past but boasts a really impressive suite of LEED features, which is a compelling hybrid of past and future. I only got a glimpse of the river species in the wet lab but I could have spent all day in there. The Sultana woodshop was clean, well-kept, and full of beautiful pieces. A great place to bring students who want to learn about the Bay."
"Could have been a really great learning experience, but some of the staff members currently onboard the Schooner Sultana are not very good with kids. There was entirely too much yelling and sarcasm directed at small children. The whole point of interactive, experiential learning is lost when you can't look at or touch anything without being screamed at. Also, visitors are not allowed to look around and enjoy the beautiful scenery while listening to the lectures that begin shortly after you leave the dock. If you dare to even turn your head, they will stop the lecture and yell at everyone to look forward before they will resume the lesson. Just really ruined the whole experience for our group."
