"This isn't about quality of work. It's about not getting a receipt with the penny weight & transaction details when old gold is brought in to melt to defray cost of repairs. A second time I brought old gold charms he made a " mistake, " pushing wrong button on scale. I terminated the transaction, removed my items and got $500 more for the exact charms another reputable business in town which not only gave a receipt, but had me sign & took a copy of my driver's license. Gold price can fluctuate, but not explaining Mr. Schilling's discrepancy the same day. I learned to Always get second opinion on scrapping old gold jewelry & Never to trust anyone who doesn't give a receipt. He also doesn't give a receipt for items left for repair, so if something happens to him or his business it's difficult to document what you left. A business that doesn't give detailed, informative receipts is problematic. I will not use him again."
