Municipal Children Playground Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE 19930

"This playground is just across the street from the main shopping blocks of Garfield Parkway - we walked over after getting some food there, and set up on the benches here to eat and let our kid run around. It has a good variety of play options. It follows the common playground pattern of a main structure for bigger kids and a similar smaller structure for toddlers. They both have multiple climbing structures to get on to the platforms, and different kinds of slides. There are also a lot of swings, both the classic kind and the ones for babies & toddlers. Some vintage-looking animal rides are placed around the little kid structure as well. There are several benches spread around the play area, but while they were *near* the trees, they weren’t directly under any branches so won’t provide much shade or any protection from drizzle (as we experienced today). This can be hard to deal with on a hot summer day, especially around midday. But it’s a minor issue, as the playground is otherwise really nice."

"Great playground. 8 swings (4 toddler, 4 big kid) + handicap swing. Great climbing options and slides for kids of all ages. Well maintained. Good mulch covering. Beach volleyball and basketball courts on the premises too. Right in the heart of downtown convenient to shops and restaurants. Pretty willow trees offer shade for parents on benches too."

"Large playground with two different play sets - one for older kids and one for younger - swings, a sandbox/volleyball court, and a basketball court. The entire area is fenced in and it is only a few blocks off the beach."
