"I will never go back there i went there to do an oil change and they didn't tight the filter and guess what I had oil leaking... I will go somewhere else.. people please avoid them as much you can..."
"I took my 2020 Honda Accord to the Seaford, DE Valvoline to get my tires rotated on 10/4/23. While sitting in my car, I noticed that the man working on my tires must have been a trainee, because a woman was instructing him from a distance, telling him what to do. I observed her helping him with one tire. I even commented to my boyfriend that a 'rookie ' worked on my car. Fast forward 2 weeks later. I traveled to Wilmington for a few days and upon my return my boyfriend showed me a lug nut that he found at the top of our driveway and he was checking the tires from the vehicles that were at the house to see if any lug nuts were missing. We discovered that the lug nut in fact was from my car, and that on the same tire 2 others were missing. I immediately thought of the fact that I had just had my tires rotated 2 weeks prior! So I traveled up and back from Wilmington on 2 lug nuts holding my front tire on. My boyfriend called Valvoline to tell them and the manager he spoke to was less than sympathetic. He told him he would call him back in 30 min. Because he needed to review the video. He called back and asked him to bring the vehicle to the Seaford location, and my boyfriend told him that he didn't feel comfortable driving the vehicle.Super long story here, I'm sorry, but this guy Sam was not very apologetic at all. He asked to speak of me and asked for a series of numbers off of a card so he could order new lug nuts for my vehicle mind you, one of the lug nuts that was lost was the locking lug nut. Anyway, he never said I'm so sorry mam, nothing to me, that I could have lost my life had my tire fallen off while driving 65 miles an hour or caused a serious accident. Now, the numbers he needed were not the correct series of numbers and when he went to order the set it wouldn't go through. I waited 2 weeks and I received a call from Lindsay who informed me that the order for my new lug nuts never went through. She had them overnighted and she was the one that really came through for us. She also came out to our house the day after we called and put lug nuts on and torked them with a tool. She brought us a few coupons for all the trouble we experienced. All in all, I feel they could have at least comped me for the tire rotation for $50... and I had to wait a month before my car had been restored to its original condition. That, and possibly having a catastrophic accident occur because of their negligence. Lindsay was the only positive part of this story. I don't think I'll be back for any service from Valvoline in Seaford."
"So I went to the Valvoline in Seaford today for a basic oil change. It was one of the worst experiences I ever had with Valvoline. So it started when. I heard the guy under my car calling for the manager. The assistant manager sorry I did. Ot get her name bent down and talked to the guy. I heard the guy tell her the don’t have a replacement oil drain plug for my car. He also stated something about my o ring. She got up and bring a machine over and hooked it up. I asked her what was she doing. She explained that my car has to have the oil sucked out. I told her I never seen anyone do that to this car. She still did not say anything about the conversation with the guy under my car. At this point Sam the manager came over and advised that they don’t have a replacement plug. He even went on telling me that the oil plug could be damaged if he took it off. I explained they took it off and advised him about the conversation between the assistant manager a d the guy under the car. The assistant manager denied any issues or conversation. So after I explained that I wasn’t stupid he told me about not having the replacement plug. When I started my car to check oil pressure the guy called Sam over. At this point Sam told me that I have a oil leak from the oil plug. I was pissed and explained how is that possible. He went under the car and told me he was wrong I have no oil leak. Well I have been home for about 5 hours. I have a oil spot under my car. So tomorrow I will take it to the dealer a d get it fixed. If I don’t get reimbursed I will warn everyone not to go their ."
"Talk about fast, friendly and efficient service and the crew/team that works at this location make a fast food drive though seem slow. They did everything that I had asked for. I seriously recommend them to anyone looking to have their car serviced."
"If I could give 0 stars, that would still be too many. I went and got my oil changed a week ago and today my skid plate, the protective covering, under my car falls halfway off as I’m driving down the highway with my husband and newborn. The screws weren’t anywhere to be found and my husband had to lay on the ground to figure out some way to take the covering off so the vehicle could drive. I called the Seaford shop and spoke to the first manager for 17 minutes and they couldn’t even find my account! I provided every piece of information they asked for, including the invoice number, and they still couldn’t figure it out. They then asked to call me back after they would look more into my situation. 15 minutes later, I received a phone call from another manager, William, who said that all he could do is apologize and put the skid plate back on for me. I explained my distrust of their entire shop and staff members and that I wanted more than just an apology, and he said that’s all he could do. Well, after spending $80 for an oil change and being told that they couldn’t do anything for me, I will NEVER go back to them for any type of service, nor will I refer anyone to them. If I can’t trust that something as simple as screwing something in will be done, how can I trust that bigger tasks will be completed for a service that I am paying hard earned money for? I am not a satisfied customer Valvoline, and will make sure to inform everyone I come in contact with of my experience."
