"We recently purchased a beautiful town home in Newark, De and have settled in comfortably. We moved here from out of state and really enjoy the area. The previous owner did a beautiful job of maintaining everything. A few days ago we noticed a leak coming from the garbage disposal under the kitchen sink. We contacted Garvey Plumbing because their decal was on the unit. We are very glad that we called Garvey Plumbing. Matt Garvey, the owner promptly returned our call. He was familiar with our community, listened to our concerns, description of the problem, and was able to reassure us quickly that he would be able to fix the problem. We were extra thrilled to find out the he was going to take care of the job in person. He came out that same morning and replaced the unit which was very near end of life. Matt was professional, friendly, efficient and helpful. The price for the service was very reasonable. We could not be happier and will recommend his fantastic service to everyone when we discuss our new home in Newark, Delaware. If we could give him 5 million instead of 5 stars we would."

"Beware: Matt Garvey the owner, during the pandemic good times for trade work, has become self-important, callus, and inconsiderate. We have previously done business in the past that I paid COD. Over the past two days he has kept me waiting for service and has stood me up at his appointed time, has provided poor communication access and only at his convenience. If you find any contractor that does not answer the phone but relies on answering services yet does not reasonably return calls... run! After everything was out of control due to his unprofessional conduct, he then texted me, "Unfortunately I don’t think we will be able to be of service at this time” without apology for the mishandling of our appointments for 2 days thereby leaving me stranded with the plumbing problem. It's a shame when contractors become self-important, self-absorbed, and/or gougers, during "seller's markets" for services."
