Reviews of Ford's Auto & Truck Services
"This has been a long time coming. Ron Ford claims to be a factory trained tech though he didn't know the basic procedure to do when replacing a computer controlled module/part, we'll get to that later! He wound up costing me an extra $1000 to repair my vehicle that he had for over a week. He replaced other parts that weren't needed and had the gull to charge me for the parts and labor, for parts that did NOT fix my vehicle. His wife who is/was the office person, has the personality of a doorknob! Never returned my calls and gave no credible updates on what was up with my vehicle. I really do feel sorry for Ron on this note, though not for his lack of mechanical abilities. They are both good at what I would say is robbing you of your money though! So after a week of him WORKING on my truck and replacing multiple parts and charging me over $1300 to fix it, what actually fixed it (besides the obvious part that it originally needed) was no other needed parts, just to short the positive battery cable to ground with it off the battery! You see, any non-factory trained tech/backyard mechanic can tell you that ANY time you replace a computer controlled part/module, you must reset the computer! Ron Ford, a so called and advertised "FACTORY trained Tech" did not KNOW to do this. After spending my money replacing other unnecessary parts and time (over a week mind you) he called another tech who finally told him what a 15 year old in a Vo-Tech school knew, KILL the cmos battery and reset the computer!! So BEWARE when taking your vehicle to Fords Auto and Truck Service and after a few days he tells you that you need multiple parts replaced and MO money!! And he wasn't afraid of the fact that this story was going to be posted on a multiple social media sites either, kind of like he was used to such feedback! He told me, "take me to court"! This route is more COSTLY to him, not me........."
"We have taken all of our trucks--both personal and business fleet-- to the Ford's for the last 10 years. They handle routine inspections and emissions, tires and brakes, to complicated issues. Liz even drops me off if necessary. Ron and his staff are very knowledgeable and CARE about their work. I find them to be affordable and fair. Highly recommend."
"My husband has had a strange problem with his 2009 GMC Sierra for years. Issues included door locks going up and down while driving and then not working when car is off, lights in truck flickering on/off, temporary loss of acceleration while driving...just to name a few. It was as if a ghost was in the vehicle, obviously electrical in nature. He took his truck to two local Chevrolet dealers and both charged him a fortune and didn't correct the problem at all. They only repaired doors and replaced batteries for $$$$. We googled the topic and there are a number of amature videos detailing the problem and how to correct it. It was an easy fix according to YouTube. We took the truck to a local Pep Boys and asked them to watch the videos and after a week of having our truck...nothing. They asked us to pick up the truck and had not made one repair. So, thank goodness we found this local repair shop. My husband called and explained the crazy issue to them. They were more than willing to attempt the repair. They were even more than happy to watch the videos and discuss issues and solutions with my husband back and forth on several phone calls. So far so good! AND we spent less $ than at the dealers. After years of issues with this truck Ford's Auto and Truck Repair was able to resolve the problem and gave excellent customer service while completing the work in a timely manner. We are thankful!"
"We have been taking our cars/trucks there for years now and love it. It is a clean shop with friendly staff. I never had any issues with lack of communication or things taking too long. My husband owns his own business and being without our truck for too long would cost us money and they always seem to work around our schedule. The couple of times the truck had a flat tire, they helped us quickly so we could get back to work."
"In more than two years of regular service and repairs for two vehicles, we've always had good experiences with Ford's. The communication with us is good and honest, and Ford's always seems to find a way to accommodate our schedule. We've always had reliable service from Ford's. If price is your most important concern, you could probably hunt around and find cheaper service for certain types of repairs or maintenance. We were barely charged anything for some minor repairs (quick fixes) at Fords. In the long run, Ford's pricing has been fair to us."
